Oh boy! How will the Edward and Bella connection EVER happen? Hmmm...besides it taking a freeking long time!!! Seems like there could have been more detail into her thoughts and emotions, a quick chapter touching what needs to be talked about, you could have delt more with it and it would have added to the story in my opinion. More please!
Author's Response: Well, for all my blithe assurances that they will end up together, 20k words down the line where I'm writing now, they're still not having any of it! Like I said, I can see this being a lengthy story. But it is fate after all, I'm not sure even I can keep them apart for long.
There will be a lot more about her emotional transition into becoming a vampire in the next chapter, but it is tied to certain events which I wanted to give a chapter of their own. But I also needed to segue into it somehow. I'm still not entirely happy with this chapter, but it gets the story to where I wanted it to go, and I'm too impatient to wait until I have everything absolutely perfect before starting to post, and I am very happy with the next chapter.
Hopefully the next chapter will answer some of the questions you felt weren't totally addressed in this one. I hope you will keep reading!

Author's Response: Sorry... :( I did try to make this chapter longer, but I just couldn't! I guess I was too excited to get to the next bit.
When I finish it all I might go back and try to rewrite this chapter. But I promise the chapters get longer from here on out.
I've uploaded the next chapter, so you shouldn't have to wait long!

Author's Response: Thanks! More is most definitely on its way. I've got just over 16k words written already, so until I've used up my backlog at least I'll be uploading a new chapter as soon as each one is validated.

What a unique story. I have wondered often what would have happened if Edward caved. I know there is a lot of Edward bashing, but I think he deserved to taste her. He has been exercising control in so many stories for so long. I know he will hate himself, but please let them get past it.
Call me romantic, I do hope there is a B/E coupling. You can change the situations, but you can't change fate.
Bella, wow. First day of school. She hasn't even had a chance to fall in love with him.
