We are clearly of one mind on the topic of whether or not this is a normal event for vampires! Nice to find a kindred spirit ;-).
See, my take is that they have natural body urges just like any human, and even though Carlisle/Edward might have stayed virginal until marriage, it wouldn't make them any less normal men and they would have the same phyiscal desires to deal with (discreetly, just like you wrote.) This idea that it would never happen seems unlikely to me and I thought you wrote this just like Edward would have experienced it, alone, wanting the sensation of Bella's temperature, etc. Nicely done!
Author's Response: Omg, I'm definatly embarressed that you read this. Your scenes are so much better, lol! It's funny because I do agree with that, but I never even THOUGHT about it for Carlisle. It's not that i was like "No, he wouldn't do that." The possibility just never even occured to me in the least! But now it makes sense that he was alon for even LONGER than edward. So, you know.

I liked it. Edward is such a gentleman but he is a man or at least man like with desires...
I liked the use of the warm water, about how hot it would be against his skin, about how it would feel like Bella.
It was subtly done, not over the top and I like that because regardless of his "needs" he's still a gentleman and would probably not go all out crazy with his personal time.
