Ah! Vive la Dry Hump! A vastly underused and underrated sexual technique. You've succeeded in making me all hot and bothered, without losing any of the sexual tension that makes these last few chapters so delicious. I'm altogether too worked up for 10:50am. I think I need a moment...
Not to mention that this is just one of the sweetest, most romantic stories EVER. Your Edward is one of my all-time favorites, and that's saying something, because fluff usually doesn't do it for me - I go for Darkward almost exclusively. But this isn't just fluff; Bella has snark and insecurities, and Edward has guilt and selfishness, and the plot as a whole has a nice, comfortable angsty depth without being too heartfail. Because we all need some happy sometimes, right? Right.
I saw that you were rec'd by the Twigasm ladies this week - congrats! As always, I'm just loving this tale, and anxiously await your updates.

Author's Response: He was absolutely a dick before, it's true. Unfortunately, Bella's got a blind spot where he's concerned. She's still going to make him work a bit, though, before she trusts him completely.

That was extremely hot! Can't wait for the next chapter. I love this story. I wasn't crazy about the flashback for every chapter, but it's starting to grow on me. Keep up the great work!
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed! And I know flashbacks aren't for everyone, but I thought they were necessary to build the history between B&E. I set the precendent, though, to have on in every chapter, and now I find I'm struggling just a bit to come up with relevant flashbacks for future chapters.

I love how much she teased him about the girlfriend thing. Bella's so funny. I love that that part of their friendship is still intact. And when he told her he only wanted her for all those things....swoon!
I agree with Edward....if fully clothed sex is that hot, I definately can't wait till the real deal!! Although I do really think Bella should wait until she fully trusts them together . Otherwise she'll get all angsty about it and not really be able to let go, so to speak.

Perfect! Given Bella's history, a dry hump is just what the doctor ordered. It's neither too fast nor too slow, perfect as an introduction into intimacy for the both of them. Not to mention you made it so hot too...
And oh, I really truly love the interaction between Rosalie, Alice and Bella in this chapter. It was witty, sarcastic and fun all rolled in one and I never had a greater time reading this three-way ping pong match in such a long time! Kudos to you!

Yep, I thought so...Bella's memory of prom night was hard to read. I could just picture her there.... sigh. I'm glad that Edward is aware of what happened that night. Although, it doesn't sound like he knows that she was humiliated by Jessica and Lauren. I agree with her whole-heartedly -- thank God she didn't tell anyone that Edward was her date. Bad enough that everyone knows she was stood-up. They don't need to know by whom. Between that and walking away for a year, he has alot to make up for. She does need to talk to him about her past relationship so that he's aware of why she's so hesitant to start a sexual relationship with him. Then he'll know that she's just scared that once he gets that from her, he'll leave her. I mean, since it happened before to her and since Edward once walked away from her without a word, who could blame her for being worried about that. Edward is going to have a lot to prove to her and I'm going to sit back and really enjoy watching him do just that!

Well ...she is... she is well and truly fucked. Go Edward!!! :D I'm glad she finally acknowledges it... And I have to agree with Bella...that was HOT ;)
I'm glad she's TRYING (being the operative word) to wait for sex... it's much too soon, especially if we have deep trust issues in the mix. I think some things need to happen (eg. grand gesture) and have more time to build a strong relationship first, for them to have sex, if they want things to work out in the end. Plus it makes for the perfect setting for heated, yet not total full-on lemons, that still have some UST residues ... which you should know by now, it's my kind of everything!!
I know they've waited a long time to be together, but apparently that only served them to have more issues to resolve later... LOL So much stuff has happened... and not all good :S Obviously the affection is there, the love, the lust...but still their communication skills are severely lacking. If not for Rose... they would still be at the "I'm comfortable with whatever we are" stage...
Favourite line: Vive la résistance!!! LOOOOOOOOL LMAO
It was wonderful to see them so relaxed in a coupley kind of way...romantic normalcy at its best!! :D
And as I feared, she drowned in humiliation becos of the prom stunt... yet relieved that she didn't mention Edward's name...

Author's Response: Oh yeah, it's still way too soon for them to do the nasty. Trust issues must be resolved. And god yes, their communication bites. They need to work on that, too. Because if they jumped into bed right now? Bella would be out the door the next morning and spend the rest of the year avoiding him. Just because she's that much of a freak. ;-) And never fear, there will be much, much fun before they actually sleep together.

As for my writing insecurities? I've always been like this, and it gets worse when I write scenes I'm not entirely sure about. I love writing, I love story-telling, but I'm always stunned when I get really positive reactions to my stuff. I think it'll always take me by surprise.

I reviewed before on my mobile but it obviously didn't come through, which probably is a good thing as now my head is slightly clearer and more coherent.
I was going to start by saying that I know how nervous you were (and are!) about writing lemons and I hope by now you would've realised that what you wrote and have written in the past is incredibly well-received!!!
I loved how descriptive you were at the start of this chapter: Edward in bed and the breakfast scene was truly awesome. Bella's conversation with Rose & Alice was hilarious and then ... well... fuck! I keep expecting myself to grow accustomed to your writing but after 17 chapters it still hasn't happened and I hope it never does! You have this knack for eliciting responses from me that I've never had before when reading - I was literally gasping out loud reading that scene on the couch and it caused me to miss my train because I was so engrossed.
A feeble thank you doesn't seem like enough for this chapter but thank you anyway!
