That's it? That's the reason he's still with Tanya? Okay that might sound a little callous, but that's such a cliche response from someone who is trying to keep someone from leaving them. Yes the other party (in this case Edward) feels awful and guilty, but in the end they can't hold themselves responsible for the crazy/controlling person's (Tanya) actions.

At least Bella knows now, that's a good thng. Hopefully they'll figure out a solution to the situation soon.

You're right, Edward shouldn't be holding himself responsible. But he does, in his mind he believes if she hurts herself, part of it will be because he broke up with her during her grieving period. Stupid? Of course, but men can be stupid, and Edward is no exception. Thanks for the review! :)

so i read all the chapters and i like it a lot (especially mason)

as for this chapter, here's my feedback:

okay so honestly I'm okay with the whole situation, easily remedied, but i kind of feel like he made her feel worse about it. i mean, like i guess i understand, but at the same time i feel like some of things he said would just make me feel completely awful. like the 'everything we'd be doing if i weren't with tanya' part, like really??? way to make her feel doublely confused. i understand it being taken as 'oh, he's thinking of me' thing, but i would feel like 'wow, is he trying to make me feel horrible that he's thinking about that while he's still with another woman, regardless of why they're together' or 'i feel like a bad person for putting him in that position' or even 'i hadn't thought of that and know i am thinking about all that and i want it but i don't know if we'll ever get that but now those thoughts are going to be all consuming' all of which i cannot believe haven't crossed her mind because i think they would cross anyone's mind in that situation, but maybe that's just my opinion.

can't wait for the next update.

I completely agree with what you had to say. Remember that Bella was a little drunk during his speel, so in this case she was just happy that he liked her as much as she liked him. The next chapter is coming, where her head is a little more clear, and some of her concerns will be addressed. Thanks! :)

I think his explaination is crap!  He should refer Tanya to a pychiatrist to help her get over him and help her through the shit she's going through, but NOBODY should be with someone over guilt.  That just doesn't sit well with me.  If he gives Tanya a way to help herself then he can be guilt free...if she did do anything to herself it would be something that happened because she decided to not because of something the Edward caused.  If I was Bella I would not deal with this situation for long.  There has to be a time limit.

We know it wouldn't be Edward's fault if she harmed herself, but he doesn't see it that way. It's in his character for him to take responsibility for things and want to fix things himself. It may not be the correct way, but he's not perfect. Thanks for your review!

Love Tenacious D esp. Pick of Destiny!  As for Tanya, I must beg you to NOT draw this out.  Get a friend who's a cop to stand behind the door and when she threatens to kill herself, the cop haul her ass away for a 72 hour hold at the nearby hospital, which should make her think twice about threatening to kill herself again.   It's fiction, just create a friend who's a cop!
