That was absolutely epic. I LOVED this chapter!!

I can't begin to summarize, even to point out specifics... I don't know where to start!

The past when Carlisle returns is so heartbreaking and I think incredibly well written. Each person is so in character for this story at that moment that it's really just beautiful to see them reunite, even though they're not whole yet.

Edward's been broken for so long, but to see him be broken in front of the three women of his family was heartbreaking as well.

And of course Bella would play such a big part and I'm THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF that she's going to be featured in the Past sections of Part 2.

I'll miss you on your writing break, but I understand the need. You're quality and I'm grateful... I love losing myself in a good story so much that the wait is excusable! :)

I've never had a reason to look forward to Canadian Thanksgiving until now!  I'll be looking forward to that more than the US one for sure.

I have a prediction and I don't expect you to respond but I just want it out there.  I think Charlie will be a vampire.  When he finds out the truth, he is going to want to protect his town and his baby girl.  He can't do that as a human.  When Eleazar said he'd be a good vampire (in the last chapter, I think), I think you were foreshadowing.

I'm probably going to reread part 1 twice before your next post so no rush.

it just keeps getting better and i think i may have pee'd my self a little back there.

for months i wanted to believe she was still going strong but had to hold my self back so that i didn't suffer with the disappointment, but my heart so wanted her to be alive  (or dead whatever the case maybe).

i've been hooked since chapter eight of this bad boy and when i see i have an update my hands start to shake a little. that just proves what a good writer you are.

I really like getting the past at the beginning of the chapter as opposed to the end.  The image of Esme killing the goat was so monstrous - for some reason, it was more disturbing that Edward taking a nice gulp of the mean human.  Probably because she loved that goat and it actually had affection for her too. 

I can't believe that Carlisle shows up for THAT.  I'm so curious as to what triggered his return to the family?  Seeing all the destruction that the humans are causing - especially to his hospital?  Making him believe that at least he's not THAT much of a monster?

I can't help but feel like Edward's possible change of heart about staying alive is put in place to buy more time before we learn about Bella.  Making me think that Bella is still quite a ways off.  Oh well:-)   I like the little backstory you've given Tanya.  Loved her "you're not the lion" line.

The necklace, the name plate, the blue ribbon - all so fun and just made me smile and misty-eyed.  

Powerful line:  She was dead because I wasn’t strong enough to love her and let her love me in return.

 

GAH - what's going to happen now?  "We have to go" - away from the compound?  To the south?  Where?  So looking forward to the next chapter.

I'm loving this story and am really intrigued.  Your mention of "Lost" really cracked me up - it would drive me crazy if the world ended and I didn't know the ending, but obviously Edward has other things make him crazy!  :)

I'm still caught up with your prologue and what Jasper found in the cage.  When I first read it, I thought it must be Bella with her "shield" being Maria's secret weapon.  Now that Victoria has admitted to killing Bella, my theory is that Victoria lied to Edward and did the one thing to Bella that she thought would be even more painful than her death - she changed Bella and handed her over to Maria?  Just a thought - can't wait to find out what happens!

Let me just tell you! What you ask!?
1st - I HATE end of the world stuff. It creeps me out. I love my little bubble of the world. HOWEVER, I LOVE your story! I am a HUGE fan of the angst and man have you brought it!
2nd- This is so well written. The flashbacks and forwards are amazinly done! I have NEVER read anything of this caleber (spelled wrong) with ff/fb on fanfiction before. AMAZING!
3rd. Change the characters and get yourself published. SERIOUSLY!
4th - Bella is still kicking and is Maria's new weapon. I just read the story straight through and had to read the prologue again to make sure I was on the right track. I have no idea what her gifts are or manifestation of them is, but I CANNOT WAIT!

Yippy it's Jasper!  I think if there is ever an award for best/most important/most read prologue, this would win for sure.  I just keep going back to it.
