Wow. I mean really... Wow.. I can see why you won :) This is an absolutely awesome story!
I wish it was longer but that's just because you know when you find a good read it's kind of sad when you get to the end...

Author's Response: I actually started writing this "book" today. The prologue just came to me in the middle of a client call at work and I started typing. I was impressed.
I didn't even elude to it here, but there's a big government conspiracy, a whole twist to the trial as well as other shifter intrigue behind the scenes. I'm so excited to get it all down.
I really appreciate all the great reviews. I don't know how I couldn't dedicate this book (when, yes, when, I finish it) to Twilighted and all of you.

Again, I just wanted to say congratulations! Your story is really excellent and your writing style is truly superb - It's just an incredible inspiration to make me want to keep writing and improve my writing style. :)

I loved this. The concept is cool and the story was sexy. :) I really, really want to know the outcome of this trial. I'd also like to know if he just used her as a ploy to help with his case?
Author's Response: Well hubby said "go by the laptop" but then you must finish this story, so there's more to come. There's more to the trial than just a trial.
And no, he didn't use her as a ploy to help his case. He truely didn't know she would be prosecuting. He sought her out just because he wanted her.

Hello!
I absolutely love this. This was entertaining, interesting, and unique. I loved the detail in the beginning of the story, about the legal aspects of the shapeshifters being recognized legally as a race and the scientific information about what they transform into.
The banter between Raven and Wager was divine, as was the descriptions of the sex (HOT) and the transformation. If you turned this into a real, full length novel, the banter could be extended in this scene and it would exist throughout the entire novel, whic would be fantastic.
You have a real gift at writing conversation that is natural. A lot of stories I read have really forced and unnatural dialog, but yours is so real. And your characters are very well defined. This story is less than 5,000 words, yet I feel I know Raven and Wager.
Dillion McCade is the PERFECT name. When I picture Dillion McCade I picture some guy who is smirking and cocky and beyond sexy.
This was really fantastic and very well written. I am honored to be a finalist with you.
