I think your magical cookie worked.  I found a great group of writers who work together and encourage each other.   Hopefully, RL will settle down a little and I'll get more time to write with them!!  ;)

I loved the way you wrote her first encounter with Demetri. You injected such tension into every little movement as he carried her through the woods. I always like a nice build-up!

Nice detailed chapter! I liked reading this "missed moment" of what we never saw in Eclipse and I thought the newborn battle was portrayed well. I had always wished that we got to see more of it even though I understood why SM couldn't since it was Bella's POV. Good!

Thank you!  Part of the fun of writing stories like this is filling in the blanks, I think!  I thought it was too bad we didn't get to see the wolves in action. ;)

Tee hee, I like the way you end chapters with a bang so that I have to click on the next one :-). I thought your characterization of Edward was spot on. Of course he'd be against helping Alyssa if it meant endangering Bella. I'll be interested to see if Alyssa ends up becoming a "traditional" or "vegetarian" vampire in the long run!

I hope you don't mind cliffhangers.  I have a few in this story.  lol  I really try to keep to canon with the characters that SM gave us.  I've played a lot with the lesser known characters - Riley and Victoria and all the members of the Volturi.  I've created a few Volturi characters because we don't know all of them.  But, that's later. 

Alyssa's journey is quite the opposite of Bella's (I think).

Wow, I read your story in less than 24 hours, and it's one of the best I've read this far. It is interesting to see the Volturi life, since everything in the books is from Bella's POV. Anyway, I can't wait to find out what happens next with Demetri and Alyssa ;)

Oh man!  I woke up this morning planning on reading 1 chapter before getting myself going for the day, and ended up reading 10!  I loved reading this much of the battle from Alyssa's POV, especially knowing how much Demetri is targeted and hated from the Cullen side.  I can't wait for another update!

You've caught up to me...I'm working on the next chapter right now.  It's a lot more difficult to follow along with the book than I thought it would be. 

But, it's the stuff after the battle that I am really looking forward to writing!  I can't wait to reveal what happens to Alyssa and Demetri after the 'battle'.
