Good chapter! I love that Bella showed up Tanya, I think poor Edward needed her to save him. It was cute to see him all flustered afterward and still confused about the made-up conference call. It was fun to see more of Emmett too. Thanks for writing :)

i love this story. never in my life have i ever seen anything on tv, or read anything in a book where a boss was like that. i mean its like walking into an office and the boss saying "grab a beer, we have work to do" i absolutely love it!
Author's Response: thank you. Um, I do it all the time with my grad students. They grade tests, help prepare for conferences, do late night data crunching I provide the pizza, the beer and the coffee the next morning. Lasst semester I took them all out for a steak dinner at the resort where a conference was being held as a Christmas gift. Blew my entire week's per diem on one meal. I've found that the more I'm willing to treat them like equals and keep it casual the harder they work and the better they do, ironically they also get higher grades, do better on standardized exams and tend to do better research. That's academia though so I can have a little more leeway. I just couldn't write the "usual" office when I can't stand them myself.

:D <--That's the happy smile of someone who has read a rather fabulous chapter. And that someone is me!
I love this story...but I'm going to freely admit what got me hooked forever and ever. It was one word: genuisness. The fact that Bella makes up words pretty much rocked my world. I make up words all the time, so much so that people occasionally look at me sideways.
Also, Bella convinced Edward to go to the dentist! Tee hee hee...I wonder if she's treating him at all like she treats Charlie. All those mothering instincts.
The scene where Edward pretty much offered Bella his company was pure fabulousness. I love Edward's logic and I also like that he doesn't have official expectations, like about what an assistant does or what a workplace should be like. Yay for non-office ground rules! :)
This chapter was as awesome as Mrs. Cope's cookies! Thank you so much for writing. :)
Author's Response: thank you. I was pretty proud of geniusness myself. I always preferred to have non office offices and probably as an academic I couldn't function in a real-world office so I couldn't imagine how anyone else could either.
