Great communication between the two. Giving and taking information of explanation as to why things happened the way they did and reason why laying back, slowing things done, to get to know each other better. Starting from friend roots are always the best way for a romantic relationship to develop. A lot happened through those letters between them. Alice being the postmaster general without the stamps.
