Jasper is a very good friend - especially if *that* didn't affect their relationship.  Whew.

Very cool to have that insight into their history.  

But if this is Bella *high functioning* after therapy... Holy cr*p, she must have been a mess :-<.  She needs to get that story out.  I'm not looking forward to hearing it, but she needs to tell it.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!  Without giving two much away, there were essentially two events that "broke" Bella - and she will be telling the story of both.  And, for the most part, she is high functioning now...but there are certain situations and triggers that still affect her greatly.

Not going to lie, I was hoping it never got as far as it did. Jasper is a good friend.. trying to do something he didn't want to do to make Bella feel better. However, regardless that was pretty stomach turning for me because Jasper/Bella couldn't turn me off more as a pairing. Obviously, that has nothing to do with your writing. Its just a personal thing.

I was hoping we'd get some more details of her rape in this one. Also, she really probably should get back into therapy if she only stopped because she was upset with her progress. This did make me feel bad for Mike. Edward is going to have to know more about her past before they start anything in order for that situation not to repeat itself.

Believe me when I say that this was plenty awkward for me to write as well - I'm a BellaXEdward kind of girl.  But this was an important point in their friendship, so I posted it as an outtake for those who wanted to read it.

The story of Bella's past will come out when she shares it with either Alice or Edward - not ready to tell who just yet ;)  And I agree with you on all counts.  I actually believe that Mike tends to get a bad rap - really, his major flaw is that he's an ordinary guy surrounded by extraordinary vampires.
