Oh man. I bet James called somebody to go and kill Charlie and Renee. I can't think of any other way the Cullens wouldnt have to leave Forks.

I LOVED THIS STORY  I LOVED IT IT WAS GREAT but that was a lot for me to handle in the end maybe its because i am kinda young to be hearing all that lol but it was all good

i ave never cared about james till like now if bella left him he would be crushed

i really like this. a nice twist on things. well written too. man victoria is out of her freakin mind sacrificing herself for a man that didnt even love her. and what happened to laurent? did they kill him too? and james never told bella that laurent killed angela. that was really sad. and i loved the lemon at the end. very intimate and personal for it to take place in their meadow. i loved it.

you probably have already gotten the feeling from other reviews that this story undoubtedly leaves an impression, so i will try to skip how much i personally like it, and get to the whys. you wrote James so not-monster, not-one dimensional, not a simply sadistic hunter, a full, complex, interesting character that, i must admit - his relationship with Bella and his development was the strongest and the most captivating plot line for me. Edward was beautiful in his despair, yes, but still. my heart goes out to James this time.

the only weak point that i can see is the outcome after James death, not because of the result - B and E getting back together, but in fact - 'cause of how they did it. i just missed a bit more thinking from Bella's part. as it is, she was thrown from one relationship to other and then to another (if we count the comeback as a circumstantially different, third relationship), and just went with her emotions with no great deal of introspectiveness. considering that those six years were a distinguished period in your story, sort of a second massive chapter, the resuming, regaining and reshaping of Bella and Edward's relationship could have made an entirely another, particularly enjoyable stage.

don't get me wrong though, this story is one of the best i have read in my stay in Twilight fandom. thank you!

(and of course, now i'll move onto your other story. when i think about it, it's a pity Twilighted doesn't let users see other users' favorites; i would definitely be interested in reading the stories you enjoyed reading.)

Good story!  Not what I expected - your James was original, very cunning and yet you also showed his loving side well.  Kindnesses like the donated blood, etc., and the different POV helped explain why Bella would stay with him and feel something for him.  Much more realistic than immediately running into everyone's arms (especially Edward's) upon her return.  I really didn't expect James to be killed, well done. I think it was the only way Bella would leave.  I also like that you pointed out that she wouldn't remember that much from before she was changed, so there isn't any reason that she would feel all cozy with the Cullen's immediately.  I could completely understand why Emmett was the one that she was happy to see - she might not have remembered him exactly, but his "older brother" type status with her before she was turned made him a good one for her to feel comfortable with.
