This is a great story. He sounds incredibly sexy, but im sitting here trying to picture rob pattinson doing a southern accent and its not working! lol  so now i have his image in my head, but something like josh lucas's voice from sweet home alabama, lol.  Thanks so much for this... its got some gravitational pull and i'd love to see waht happens next... so please keep writing!

Gravitational pull? I like that a lot! :D As for the accent thing--I've had several people say they have a hard time imagining Rob Pattinson speaking with a Southern accent. Honestly, I try not to picture the actors when I write these things, BUT I always fail with Rob and Kellan Lutz, they just won't get out of my head. Not that I'm complaining. Your solution sounds good to me! But for myself, I hear it coming from Rob no problem, especially when he calls Bella 'Sugar'. *sigh* It's a lilting, cultured, subtle accent, not a heavy, twangy one.

I'm writing the next chapter now--I plan to post it tomorrow evening, work and family willing! Thanks so much for taking time to review!

I'm a little confused what you're asking--you mean who was waggling his fingers at Bella? Because that was Edward letting her know that he heard what she said about him. :D

As for your last review--CLAY AIKEN?!? That's who you're hearing? Yeesh! Now you're ruining Southern Edward for me! :) I hear Edward with a very slight Southern accent (he taught himself to control it, remember?) but still using a lot of the slang and phrases. He did grow up there after all. If it helps, just ignore the accent altogether. My husband was born and raised in upstate SC and you can't really hear it in his voice unless he's exhausted or a little drunk.

Wish she hadn't gotten all grouchy with him after telling him about Sam. And there has to be more to that story . . . wow.

I love the girls getting after her for info (girls are so much more talking that guys - the cave man nod conveys a lot for them) and I love, love the finger waggling ending.

I know, but she was embarrassed and afraid of what he would think. That's enough to make anyone grouchy and defensive. There is more to the story of Sam and it will all come out in due time.

I don't think most men realize how much women talk about that stuff--Edward got a little ego boost, though!

I totally loved this chapter as soon as I saw the title of it!  I was like, Yeah! That's my hometown!  Seriously, the closest town to where I live has two main stores....Bill's Dollar Store and the Piggly Wiggly. We usually just call it Pigs. I totally love little hometown things like that!

It was nice to get a little more information about Bella's job. Seems like she may be just a bit of a workaholic. Not that that's unexpected or anything. Totally in character for her here.

The interaction with big brother was great. Loved their method of apologizing and accepting apology. And then the caveman nod...fabulous. Seems like Emmett may approve just a little bit!

All the "sugar" and "darlin" and "honey" from Edward and Jasper is killing me! I think I give a pleasurable little shudder every time I imagine them speaking like that! My two favorite men with southern accents and mannerisms.....yum!

So glad that we found out more about Sam. What an asshole! Poor Bella! Can't wait to read what Edward's reaction was to that in his head. I know there was probably a lot he wanted to say to her, but refrained from doing so.

And it was sooo sweet how upset and worried he was when she burned herself. Loved that Grandma Birdie suggests butter for burns...I've heard that my whole life as well. In fact if I remember correctly when I was little and put my hands on the heater while a fire was going, my Grandma did put butter on my hands afterwards.

That little bit of sweetness from Jasper and Edward and Bella's meaningful look about it was fantastic! So Jasper may end up in Seattle? Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that he may not go alone. Wonder what Edward would think of the rain?

And they're all going to Edward's parents! Yay! Loved that Bella agreed so quickly and that Edward smiled so big because of that. Jasper having Rosalie's approval is definitely a good thing!

And the boys doing the dishes while the girls gossip in the bedroom- loved it! Rose and Alice were great there and that last little bit where Bella brags about Edward's talented hands and proportions and Edward overhears....awesome!

LOVED IT! Can't wait for lunch with Carlisle and Esme!

Ah-ha-ha! I love having someone know these places and connect with the references. When my family first moved to SC when I was 15, the names of places just struck me--some funny (Piggly-Wiggly), some beautiful (Fountain Inn --not the place, but the name), some downright awful (Gaffney), but they were so unique and crazy sounding to my southern Californian ears.

So--I'm VERY glad you're digging Jasper and Edward's  accent and endearments. I was afraid I was going a little overboard, but, oh do I love it! A slight Southern drawl (not a twang) on a cultured Southern man? Mmmmm.

And, yes, Sam sucks. I have a grudge against him from the books, which will become apparent, but I don't want to give too much away!

I want Edward falling kind of hard and fast for Bella, but resisting it for the obvious logistics reasons. Bella has that and the whole once bitten thing she's dealing with, but how could anyone completely close off to the possibility of Southward? His take on the events in this chapter should be interesting. :)

And now I've got to go work on the lunch at Carlisle and Esme's. There will be a few other unexpected guests and lots of sweet tea and Southern Inquisition (the Spaniards had nothin' on Southern mothers!)
