Hi Paige ~ Just read your latest chapter. "Have I mentioned that Alice is a devious, manpulative little liar." What a great line, one of the funniest I've read in a while. And of course you do realize I've already offered Edward a job at the firm there, right? Love that man's drawl and loved the chapter!
Oh and my niece and I were talking the other day. She has informed me, very lovingly I might add, that I am much too old to fully appreciated the primal need to read an over abundance of smut in lust filled fanfiction chapters. I reminded her of the smut/angst conversation on the thread a while back and she pointed out that what the readers post and what they read are not always the same thing. But the point is forget what I said the other day about readers liking angst....it seems I was wrong. I know ::GASP:: right?
Sandra
Author's Response: Wait. So are you saying I need to write more smut or less? Cause the genereal consensus on the last chapter seems to be that I'm mean and they better get to it on the next chapter. =D
Personally, I like to mix the smut and angst. My best lemons usually take place unexpectedly after a fight or a serious stress of some kind in their relationship. Of course, just pure, joyful, because-it-feels-so-damn-good sex works for me, too. I;m not that picky.

I really like the fact that you made Bella a chef! It made me think ehy nobody thought of that before!!
Fanfic writers always associate her with any profession to do with her love for books so I've seen librarians, teachers, writers but never a chef!
So simple and creative. I also like the fact that your Bella is not a loser. She is fairly shy but successful and confident at the same time.
Now, Southern Gentleman Edward.......... oh please why don'y you just shoot me?
Gosh, I will never look at sugar the same way again!
Thanks! As you can see, I am really enjoying your story!
All the best,
Monique
Author's Response: Ha! Love your reviews, Monique! Nina named my Edward Southerncomfortward. I love that--so smooth, so sweet, so liable to make you do things you wouldn't ordinarily do!
I loved what you said about Bella being shy but still successful and confident. That's what I was hoping was coming across--I don't want her to be this ball-breaking badass. She's a successful grown woman, not an insecure teenager. And chef seemed like a natural job for her with her constant cooking in the books.
More on the way ASAP. Thanks for taking time to review!

Oh, that was an evil tease! Please update soon, I can't wait to find out what happens! I really hope that Bella doesn't have a guest room and that the couch is not fit for spending the night on. Good luck with your move; just think of it as an opportunity for writing inspiration! : )

Oh sweetie I am so jealous of you! I am in the midwest right now! I have almost 3 years left on my Air Force contract before I can return to my home! Omaha freaking Nebraska! I would do almost anything to hear a southern drawl right now! The south is so beautiful! Outside of nearly every big city is country side that can take your breath away. Almost everyone is nice in the south almost through an unconcious effort. Even when your new there is almost always someone there to extend a hand! What part of Florida are you going to be moving to??? The south is almost like a different country. I so miss the weather, although humid, a good southern summer night under the stars is like nothing else in the world! Things aren't too expensive there either! I hope some of this helps. Goodluck with your move!
About the last chapter it was great! I can't wait to read more. Will Edward meet Sam?! That would be so intense. I hope Bella stops being so wishy washy.
Author's Response: Just wanted to let you know I am so enjoying your reviews! We're actually moving to Orlando, FL. It's so different than other parts of the South because of the theme parks and tourist attractions. I'm really torn about moving there but we need to in order to be near family and for my husband's job, so I'm doing my best to get excited. Mainly I'm living in my head with Southerncomfortward on a warm sultry summer night on the beach...
As for the story (that's what I should be talking about) Edward is going to meet Sam. It'll be...interesting. We'll see a new side of Edward. As for Bella, she's a grown-up and used to being mature and responsible. It just takes her a little time give herself permission to forget sensible and go with sensual. A very little time! =D

HAHa! What an interesting theory about Imprinting! Wow he didn't handle that well at all. Reminds me of a guy who cheated on me once....not only me though. The girl he cheated on me with had a twin. He couldn't stop with just one! They didn't even know and when they did it wasn't even me I felt bad for anymore! Back to Bella....I love how she handled that encounter with Sam.

Edward can call me sugar in that sweet, sweet accent any time he likes. Having already decided just to have some fun with him in Hilton Head I don't understand the hot and cold now. He's there. He's hot. He's sweet. He's considerate. Just do him.
In the long term, once she stops overthinking things, there have to be some jobs for him in Seattle.

Well, as for moving from the Midwest to the South...let's just say you'll have to change your POV a bit, but the people tend to be open, friendly and a bit more relaxed (than say people from Iowa or Illinois). In the south, you can get "sweet tea" damn near anywhere. Nectar of the gods (or so I think). Just remember to keep your house spotless (at least where people can see) and always offer something to eat and drink- even if it's just a neighbor stopping by. That and a smile and you'll be in like Flynn!
Now, for the story...it just gets better and better. Sadly, it is too short for my liking (but all your chapters have been). *sigh*
By the way...When is Jasper going to propose? Is the wedding at the "grande manse"? Looking forward to finding out!

Sounds like some of your reviewers are fuddy duddies!! That's the whole point of letting go on a vacation like that. (of course what you said about safety and all and single) But really that's how it is and how it should be and if it works out (which I'm desperate for it to) Then it will work out. Oh and just so you know. I have no trouble imagining Edward with a southern twang! Gues it's cause I'm a southern girl myself! I absolutely love Bella tellin Em to go away! I always love that side of her though.

Aww! The south isn't that bad. I am in NC. Sundays are one of the best things. An underlying expectation that you are going to take the day off and spend it working in the yard or with family!

Oh no! A cliffie right in the middle of some sexy time! You're too mean woman! Lol. No, but seriously I was sooo happy to have Edward and Bella together again, lemon or no lemon.
I love that interfering little pixie called Alice. She's the best! Kudos to Alice.
It was definitely nice to see Bella in her element and to see Edward get a little jealous. I loved the twist of Bella having Edward's car, but even better was Edward's explanation for why he doesn't have his car, lol.
And Edward being his sweet, sexy, southern self while Bella's throwing all these mixed signals at him, but at least she realizes what she's doing and I can understand where she's coming from. Happy to see him, wanting him, but also surprised, confused about her feelings still, and worried about a separation again, and probably some part questioning where things are going to go from here for them and perhaps not wanting to feel like a booty call or something. No wonder the girl is throwing out mixed signals!
Loved Edward getting caught having a sex dream! Too funny! And I swear though because of this story I'll never get the thought of Edward's sweet voice saying sugar out of my head. If I ever get to meet Rob Pattinson, I swear I'll be asking him to call me sugar in his best southern accent. And he'll realize what a nut I am and call security, but oh well.
Speaking of southern accents, there's one good thing about moving back down south. Let's see, some other things to be happy about....hot weather, beaches, swimsuits, sweet tea and biscuits and cornbread, tater salad, southern hospitality, southern accents, lol. Hope your move goes smoothly and you get readjusted (and enjoy) being in the South again!

If you do it, you better get it on tape because I have got to hear/see that in real life! My heavenes! *fanning myself*
As far as the move goes, it's not so much not wanting to go down South as it just being hard to think of leaving here where all our friends and connections since our kids were born are. The kids are struggling with the idea and I'm trying to hide how hard I'm struggling and I have to keep reminding myself of all the positives--like the things on your lovely list! And the beach--it's been years since I lived even within driving distance of a beach.
So glad that you get the reasons for Bella's mixed signals. Some people think it makes little sense because she walready slept with him on HHI, but that's vacation and this is bringing your vacation fling into real life.
Thanks as ever for the thoughful, funny review--I look for your name everytime reveiws start coming in after a post!

You are making me so freaking homesick! I grew up in a small town in south eastern Tennessee where our one and only grocery store was a piggly-wiggly! It's still there of course! I love how Jasper is helping plot with Alice a little. Bella is being a bit resistant in this one huh?
