A most interesting day, indeed. Nice twist to the story to have Sam actually be waiting for them back at her apartment to go Round 3 with Bella. (I'd like to buy Edward a drink for protecting her.) It was a great plot technique to get Edward in a location close enough to hear the story for himself and yet not interrupt them.
God, I love his control of sex.
Okay, bring on Edward's relationship skeletons!

Fantastic chapter! Loved the whole thing-Bella's compulsive behavior, that she can't care less about, her closure with Sam, the great sex with Edward, and even the cliffie! Guesses about Edward's past? Hmmm, Leah?

Wow, Sam. Major screw up and still doesn't get it. Loved Bella getting that off her chest at him.
So sad for Bella and Edward having to separate. Been there, done that. Hurts like hell. Where to go from here? Edward really put himself out there for Bella to understand him; I didn't see her doing the same for him. She's still healing from Assam, though.

I am glad you gave her a chance to show him how much she appreciated his standing up for her. Giving him the opportunity to overhear her with Sam was good, so now she will not have to explain the whole deal. Yes you are the devil for the cliffy! I do appreciate that this now adds a new dimension to possibly explore, thus making the story even better and probably a little longer than I anticipated. Hooray!
