I can understand why you're OCD about getting the science right, because all this stuff really matters to real fans! Nothing makes a fanfic look amateur quicker than getting the minutae wrong, and there is nothing amateur about your work!!

Betas are great, but there is only one oracle, the Holy Meyer!! I see both beta's POV, and I think you're reasoning is sound. It's often the little things that take the most time and hard work isn't it?

Really good characterisation, just as I would imagine them too! I love Esme backing women's rights and her Mom stare!!

This was my first taste of anything from Esme's point of view, and I thought it was very nice. It had that lovely touch of motherly affection infused with just a hint of excitability. :D

I love hearing from Emmett.  He is so much like my brother was it's not really funny.  Right down to making his biceps jump like ferrets, LOL.  Makes me miss him.  I really, really like that he KNOWS that Rosalie is and always has been rather fragile.  Emotional neglect (although in her parents case it was rather benign) can have some catastrophic results.  Thus, she clung to the one thing that she KNEW made her parents happy, and pleased others.  Can you give her a breaking point that SM didn't?  Well, besides the part in Eclipse where Rosalie has "the talk" with Bella? It's asking A LOT, I know.  But, she's my favorite, and I love her a ton.  

I agree that it's the wolves turning, making them so much more volatile, that left Alice in the dark.  It was a sudden turn of events, evident from her unhappy surprise, that she couldn't see them.  BUT, if I want to really give an opinion, I think the ones carrying the gene are individuals she didn't ever see, but there are enough of the Quileutes that don't carry the gene that made her think that nothing was amiss. Does that make sense?  They were just a presence in her mind, but as soon as she was asked to pick out individuals from the tribe, that's when she discovered the blankness.
