holy hell.  this is an awesome story.  Beautifully written, and well thought out. cannot wait for more. 

I love the story so far.  This is much more logical to work through the problems instead of sweeping them under the rug.  I loved Esme...it was the perfect amount of parenting for older kids.  The bomb at the end has me reeling though.  My first thought was "What the hell???".  I can't wait to find out.

Whoa Esme....yikes! At first I thought her reaction might be a little OOC, but when I thought about it, no mother can continually stand by and watch her children make the same mistakes without finally losing patience and control of herself. Sometimes Esme can be made into just a pushover, so it was actually refreshing to see her protecting her children and setting them straight. I loved Emmett's suggestion for adding Jacob to the endangered species list also!

I was shocked when I read the last line, and can only guess that Edward still feels as though that was more his decision and desire than Bella's. I hope she sets him straight soon though, and I'm looking forward to her conversation with Jacob.

A great update, and I can't wait for the next one!!

If you've read Midnight Sun, Esme says to Edward, in regards to killing Bella, "Do whatever you have to do to stay." Meaning she very much is Mama Bear Esme, when it comes to keeping her family together. But then Bella became family to her, and she's watching them both constantly almost dying for really stupid reasons. So to me, of course she's going to ream them about it. It was very important to me to make sure that it was equally dished out between the two of them, and that it came from her love for them, and not her desire to get in between their relationship. She wasn't trying to seperate them, but really just tell them to get their shit together..something that seems IC to me.

I too am in love with Rose's emo line. then again i adore making fun of emo's and writing rose in general!

Mama Bear Esme was actually funny, especially scaring the crap out of Carlisle to the point where he would not intervene...so good!

hahaha, i love that "FIX IT!" Sounds like something I would say in a review. You're right though, he can't just make another unilateral decision about their relationship...kinda sounds like they might need to reexamine if they've fully got this communication thing in the bag...poor kids, their gold star might get taken away...
