I hope B&E get this marriage thing back on track in the next chapter! It's seriously bugging me!
Glad Bella and Jacob talked things out and that even Charlie's on board now.

I love strong Bella and broken Edward just as much as protective Charlie and manipulative Jake . . . I love this whole story, actually. The whole premise is quite different than most I've read and I love how you handle the situations. Can't wait for the next chappie. Hope it comes soon!!

Well, first, I thought that Edward would have to do something like that. After all, they essentially bargained for what they wanted-marriage and intimacy, instead of gaining the understanding together. So, with their new maturity, Edward had to release Bella from her side of the deal. Second, I totally agree as to how Bella would've handled Jake. She is not unkind, and would never hurt someone intentionally-if it could be avoided. As for what Bella plans to do, well you hinted at making Edward's dreams come true-I just hope she doesn't use manipulation to make it happen! Although, if she does, I'm sure I'll enjoy reading it just as much! Awesome chapter, Fabulous story!

No, I actually liked the Bella/Jacob interraction a lot. I think it would take away from what Bella has learned so far for her to have let him unbalance her to the point that she would get angry. And I like that her confidence about her relationship with Edward is strong enough to override her guilt enough for her to be careful in her actions towards Jake and mindful of Edward first and foremost. Really, I thought this chapter was just right.

This was SO great!! I loved Charlie's intervention, and I loved that Jake didn't cross the line when Bella gave her speech. I am a little worried about how Bella left Edward hanging...I'm not sure marriage is something I'd want her to "surprise" him about, but I guess that will work out. I just wish that this new, more mature Bella would have told him right away that she really wants to marry him... guess I'm old fashioned...
I know this must have taken a lot out of you to write, but it was brilliant. And of course, I can't wait for more!!

Loved Charlie giving it to Jake!!! I thought the Bella/ Jake confrontation was perfect!!! I am team Edward all the way, but I agree that they had a good friendship and she treated him respectfully as she let him go. Wonderful writing! Can't wait to read more!!!

I loved this chapter. It is so typical Edward (well, and Bella, too) to give up what he wants most to try making Bella happy. I loved the explanation, and I hope she will do something really special to let Edward know she really, really wants to marry him and be his forever. The Jake scene was perfect - they are both saying goodbye, FINALLY!
I hope we don't have to wait too long for more! I loved it.

That was the Jake/Bella scene I would have loved to have seen in the SM books. Instead of the silly imprinting on Bellas ovaries that we got. You very very eloquently wrote what they should have said to each other to reach the end of the journey with these two. Now that Bella realizes that to be with Edward she has to close the door on what could/would have been with Jake. I love the way you wrote Bella, she's still mirrors the Bella in SMs world but she's stronger. A lot of authors go the complete opposite way and have Bella becoming mean to get Jake to understand but that isn't Bella, and this chapter I could have easily seen in the SM books. Way to go and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
Author's Response: Wow do I hardcore love you. I was kind of expecting pitch forks with this chapter since she didn't hate on Jake. I thought it would show more strength and maturity to let him go than it would to ream him. At the end of the day, past discretions don't matter, especially since they have no future together. It's best to let bygones be bygones, and have a healthy, sweet end to their friendship.
Thank you so much for *getting* that. :)

I've always loved this story because it reflected what I felt should have been said in Eclipse. Bella's actions were unconsionable and she never truly gave herself the reprimand she needed for her actions. By realizing what she was doing, and what a prick Jacob was, she is redeemed here for me.
But I do think she let Jake off too easily. Their actions nearly killed Edward. Yes, she was at fault as well. But so was Jake and with much more malice. He totally disregarded Bella's comments about choosing Edward, even if she was giving some mixed signals. He deserved her wrath and he got off easy. Bella didn't really learn much. Who knew it would be Charlie who would come closer to giving Jake was really deserved.
Good job.
Author's Response: I know a lot of folks are going to think she let off Jake too easily, which is primarily why I had Charlie come in a read him the riot act. At the end of the day, I don't think Bella has it in her to hate on him, especially now that she has everything she wants. She needed to let him go, and get him to do the same, and kindness would achieve that far better than her anger. So I think she learned the lesson she needed to learn the most in regards to Jake, not that he's a douche, but rather that she has to say good bye in order to be with Edward.
I absolutely respect your opinion though, and I imagine a lot of folks will agree with you.
Thanks for reading!

Oh WOW! I am just about at a loss for words after reading the seven chapters you posted so far! Okay, I have regained my vocabulary...lol PLEASE, continue with the story! I am completely captivated. I love the way you write, your voice is absolutely divine (sorry if it sounds rather trite and cliche but it is nevertheless true!).
I can't wait for the next chapter...Oh my God....what does he mean they are not getting married...I swear, my stomach dropped at his words as if I was right there in the story!

I liked it Rose's comment regarding Edward's Emo Ass was priceless. Esme or someone frankly needed to have had a rant way before Bella's stupidity reached the poportions it did. Carlise's strategic retreat amused me to no end. I wasnt surprised by Edwards decision regarding her seeing Jake alone it was so Edward. Frankly I wouldnt trust her either Bella used Jake it doesnt matter that she told him she was using him and it doesnt matter that he took advantage of her using him to get his own way. Bella once she involved herself with Edward again should have cut Jake loose he wouldnt have moved on staying her "friend" in fact I have issues with he and Resenee but thats another story. He wasnt going to let her go without a fight and someone becoming hurt. Someone got hurt, she should have been cruel to be kind now its about to get bumpy...
Author's Response: You're absolutely right. she had to be cruel to be kind in the right measure..
thanks for reading!

I say Hi! From “a hole in South America” so pardon my English.
Wonderful Story, you bring the Twilight Edward to live again. .
I was really sorry he had turned in a sort of Chinese Vase that let the puppy wolf do whatever he wanted.
Keep writing so we can enjoy it.

Loved the chapter.
Esme really spoke her mind and let both of them have it, pointing out most major issues with their relationship and personalities. I like how Carlisle popped in and added a few comments and brought some comic relief to the conversation. I thought your characterisation of Carlisle was a perfect blend of patriarch, best friend to Edward and a man in his twenties with his jabs. So many stories have Carlisle as seeming way older than his mid twenties and he is so wound up and bland. This was a nice mix.
I liked how Bella talked about how the Cullen's are just a regular family with a strange diet and that they helped her learn about family bonds. Edward's character continues to change and loosen up with Bella and his family. Edward's dry humour was spot on and I am glad that the wit and banter is continuing. It must be hard trying to balance the mix of Edward being 17 but also 108.
Can't wait for Bella and Edward to talk about marriage and for the resolution to that issue seeing as Bella really wants to be Edward's wife now.
Thanks!
