Beautiful chapter! I loved Bella and Carlisle's talk. Bella's coin and her acceptance into the family even had me a little misty eyed. I can't wait to see the proposal!

Oh, wow. That coin wall and the following dialogue was beyond beautiful. What a great Carlisle moment. I'm so excited for her to give him the coins now!
And when Edward asked her if she'd had to promise Jake her first born?...genious! I'm still smiling about that one. *sigh* I love this story.

Great chapter! I loved Carlisle's wall of coins - wow! And I had lots of fun imagining Edward all decked out in his riding gear on the Ducati - mmm mmmmm! One grammatical thing that keeps nagging at me: Watch out when you use "Edward and/or I." Sometimes it needs to be "Edward and/or me." For instance, at the very end, in your sentence "The night slipped away, without acknowledgement from Edward or I, seeing as...." In this case it's part of a prepositional phrase, so it should be Edward and ME. But - you don't need to know all that grammatical "junk" to get it right. Here's a little "test" you can use to help figure it out: Say the sentence to yourself, leaving out the words "Edward and/or" and you can easily determine whether I or me sounds right. ["The night slipped away, without acknowledgement from....ME, seeing as...."] --- I'm so glad Edward and Bella are getting their issues ironed out - can't wait for more chapters!

Great...really really good. I like the whole coins idea and it's something I could definitely see Carlisle doing. Please update again soon!

This was a very sweet chapter. Carlisle's wall was amazing, and the bonding between Bella, him and Emmett was great. I'm interested to see how her gift turns out, and how she gets Edward to agree to marriage again.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this story progesses; you've changed small details from Eclipse, so now I'm not quite sure what to anticipate. Good job!
Author's Response: well that's why the cullens are helping. b'c if bella did it, she'd probably end up gluing herself to the coins... ;)
Thanks for reading!

There are so many things to like about this chapter. I love the fact that you gave us a 'father' talk between Carlisle and Bella. Anytime that we get with the Cullen family is a plus and this was an amazing discussion between a father and his daughter. It was exactly what Bella needed at that time. The scene with the coins and the fact that Carlisle is such a sentimental man made me cry. I thought that whole exchange was beautiful. The fact that Edward had Carlisle mount a coin for the year of Bella's birth was just amazing. I think Bella finding out that he had done this before her birthday and that he had every intention of showing that to her before the catastrophe that was her party was something that she really needed to know about and something that Edward would not have told her. The fact that he carried that coin with him when he left the family and that Bella recognized the poignancy of that gesture was amazing. She really has grown so much in this story and in the short time span that is encompassed so far, she, I think, realizes how much she truly means to Edward and thankfully she has realized how much he means to her along with the consequences of their actions have affected so many parts of their lives.
I loved the parts with Emmett. Bless his heart, he really can't help himself, even when he is being so sweet and insightful he has to come out with some crass comment. I just love him! I also liked that Carlisle shows a little of his crass personality too, because lets face it NObody is that put together and reserved all the time. I like seeing the playful side of Carlisle, that makes him seem even more human than what we get so much about how compassionate and gentle he is, for pete's sakes he's a man too. He should get to be playful and teasing occasionally as well, and I liked that. It was fitting though that he was a little embarrased by it afterwards, that was cute.
I so have lines from this that are absolutely laugh out loud funny and I will be heading over to the forum to list those out but suffice it to say this chapter had me crying and laughing at so many different parts. I loved it!!!
I loved that Bella tells Edward that she never had to make a choice between him or Jake, that it was always him. I'm glad that she made sure he understood that. I get so upset when that situation is played up as a "love triangle" even in the original saga with all the crap that goes on there I NEVER felt like there was a choice. Bella always wanted Edward she just went about getting there all wrong and really hurt Edward, without intention just being unaware of her own actions, that doesn't change the fact that she always loved him and would always choose him. There, for me and my interpretation, was never a love triangle, just confusion and hurt! I am so glad that you made that absolutely clear here!
The part about Edward having issue with sharing that is priceless. He really doesn't play well with others, hehe. I thought that was really cute that she realized the reason he was so grumpy was because the 'wolfy bff's' were playing with his phone. That was priceless!
Okay, sorry I got kinda long winded on this review. Honestly I could go on but I guess I will just leave it on this note, you are awesome and I love everything about this story!!!

FANTASTIC CHAPTER!!!!! Maybe I'm just really relieved that the whole Jacob thing went so well (I can't handle any more problems with HIM), but I loved how you pulled so many things together here. First, the scene with Bella and Carlisle was just epic. Bella's not only come through with resolve and determination, but she's gotten over her annoying worry about what others think, and she's letting everybody see how very deeply she feels for Edward.
Your descriptions of Edward's Ducati outfit were droolworthy, and I usually take it for granted that he's gorgeous and don't dwell on descriptions of him that much anymore. But this got me; maybe it was the tight leather jacket and boots description...whatever, it sang out to moi.
And I loved the insight into Emmett.
This chapter was really one of my favorites. Don't be wary...we LOVE this fic. I'm sure the drop off in reviews was a fluke. The weather finally got better in the Northeast, so lots of folks were outside a lot...lots of fics updated in the last week...who knows, but don't let it discourage you. This is one of the very best fics.

I really love this story for the main reason that bella is seeing how her actions have hurt edward and vice versa and I really want to read more

Yay you got the tent scene in. I knew you could do it. This was a lovely chapter, i loved the Carlisle/Bella interraction it was nice to see Carlisle get a bit of talk time. I do like Carlisle
I adored the image of Edward coming home and dropping his keys and phone and taking off his jacket and boots, it was a wonderfully human moment.

The pacing of this chapter was much more relaxed than the last couple of chapters. Bella's conversation with Carlisle was very insightful about him and how he feels about his family. The quarters display was very significant in showing the path of his immortality and what he holds dear. I love that he takes that with him when his family moves. I like that Bella told Carlisle that she wanted to teach Edward a lesson about making unilateral decisions for them, but realized in planning the wedding that she was doing the same thing. Bella's plan to propose to Edward looks like a really romantic idea and it is fleshing out really well. Emmett volunteering Rosalie welding skills and his wood carving skills seemed perfect additions to the plan as well. I adored Edward's explanation of his late arrival. I always liked Edward's friendship with Seth in the books and for Edward to check up on him for Sam while Bella spoke to Jake was awesome. The fact that he spent his time telling Emmett stories to Seth and the younger wolves shows Edward truly made some friends in La Push. Great chapter and keep up the good work!

I liked it. It is so unusual to see them as a couple who are learning to deal with the intricacies of a realtionship based on partnership and understanding as opposed to worshipful misunderstanding!

I have been meaning to submit a review for a while, so I finally made the time to do so, especially after this latest chapter.
Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite AU fan fictions. The overall wording is beautiful, and the undercurrent of emotion in every scene is profound.
In this chapter, I really enjoyed the symbolism in Carlisle's coin collection; that is something that I could picture him doing – as well as Edward carrying the coin with Bella's date of birth on it while he was gone.
And, every time, your depiction of Emmett makes me laugh. I loved the little 'hero-worshipping' party that the wolves had in his honor – it was priceless!
I'm very interested to learn the details of Alice's 'super secret mission' and Bella's plans for the wedding. I'll definitely be looking forward to your next update.

Dont be down about the reviews. It's just life getting in the way of having the time to type (as you are well aware) :)
Fabulous as usual. I love how you depict their closeness - their intimate natures. Like I said before - your lemons would rock!

Pure comfort! The scene with Carlisle was so tender and fatherly, something alluded to in the books, but never really delved into. I also like Emmett's offering of both his and Rose's services-very sweet! The coins were genius-how did you come up with that?
