Reviews For Atlas Shrugged

This was fantastic!  Seriously, I didn't think you could beat last chapter, but they just keep getting better.  My favorite quotes:

"Only with you, would that not be a euphemism." *snark*

and "hymens through history."  Seriously!  Love the bit about body hair from Rose as well.  Funny to picture her eternally hairy :-).

Bravo! Thoroughly enjoyed the humor and the heart-felt.  I even sniffled a bit during the ceremony.  Can't wait for more.  Hoping this fic will follow Bella through her transformation??

hahaha. Jake took matters into his own hands and imprinted on Bella's first-born.

Wow, I've spent hours and hours reading this in one go and got to say, I'm absolutely loving it.  It's so well written and I love the whole story.  Can't wait for more :)

I loved Rosalie in this one. Edward definitely needs to get rid of Emoward.

Esme's rant made it seem like they were a real family and Carlisle taking off was such a classic "I don't want to get introuble if I had nothing to do with it" move.

I'm so proud of Edward for being able to trust Bella to go into La Push and see jake by herself.

What's up with the bombshell at the end about the marriage. IS he feeling guilty for pushing her into it? Does he want her to ask him? More time to go by?

One clarification needed. Bella lost her pants cliffdiving with Edward. In this chapter, as she hopped of Edward at the house (right before the showdown with Esme) it said that she flashed the Cullen brothers. Did she not have ANY bottoms on at all?

Love it! I never thought about her hymen becoming inpenetrable after her change. Absolutely brilliant!

Such a heart-warming, lovable wedding.  I loved their wedding vows to one another.  Such a romantic chapter.  Loved everything about it. =)

I loved the wedding; I really hope you go into detail about the wedding night and the almost sex.

I just found this story last night, and so far you have made me laugh till my husband thought I was certifiable(!), cry my eyes out till they were red and awwwwed so many times I must be certifiable! You have some side splitting crazy humour and your one liners are classic! Finally someone has my brand of comedy!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I LOVE SM and twilight etc, so dont get me wrong here, but I always thought even though bella is only young and Edward is a century old teenager, that if they communicated better and tried to see things from the others viewpoint, that things could have gone a whole lot better! You have finally satisfied my need to see them act a bit more mature. Also, I have read a few fanfics (Obessed much? is a term quite appropriate to describe my twilight fasinaction) and you are perhaps the SECOND person to acknowledge that unless her hymen is broken BEFORE the change it would make sex pretty much impossible!!!! So thank you so much for the reality check in this unreal world!!! LOL!!!

Thanks again for such a great story! I cant wait for the updates!!!!

(Gosh this is the longest review I have ever written! Sorry!)

they're married!!!!!!!

I actually like the change of pace. Too much darkness=sadness. I like that Bella is coming to the realization that she doesn't need Edward in her sights every second of every minute of every day.

The wedding was well done. Carlisle officiating was perfect and so was his speech welcoming Bella into his family. Esme was da bomb. She handled Renee perfectly and singlehandedly saved the wedding. Those ideas of Renee were so far fetched. Charlie was a lifesaver and illuminated a lot about Renee and her belief system. In the end, I was glad that Bella got her wedding, her closure with her mom and that Edward and Bella may never have to deal with her again. It was good that Edward and Bella could have some sexual fun on their honeymoon, even if they are waiting to have intercourse.

Thanks for updating!

Beautiful wedding and I loved it in EPOV!!  Renee is a nut, but I'm glad that her and Bella were able to have their mother/daughter moment.  This was a wonderfully written chapter....I cried a little and smiled a lot.  ;-)

Mmmm...simply the most glorious wedding I've ever read.  Good thing I'm writing this review because you've left me speechless.  Edward's POV is mesmerizing because everything that he feels is so...raw.  Love, joy, lust, anger...it's awesome stepping into his head, and you are one of the best at it.  The segment with Carlisle gave me butterflies in my stomach.  My god, what I wouldn't do to have a father like that.

Thank you also for tying up a few loose ends with Renee (yikes--even WITH her explanation I'll concur that she's still crazy!).  And the bonding moment with Esme served as such a nice juxtaposition.  I'm thrilled Bella has this new forever family, although I am so saddened at the thought of leaving Charlie behind,

I can't wait for the next chapter!!

Your writing is absolutely gorgeous!  Your wedding scene was, IMO, the most intensely beautiful and personal that I have ever read.  Having Carlisle officiate was genius -- frankly, I don't know why SM didn't think of that herself.  But then your story was far better than Breaking Dawn in every way.

And, btw, I really enjoyed reading your backstory on Renee, and the way you gave Bella the closure between them that was so desperately needed.  Some writers insist on just making her the selfish, shallow bitch for the sake of giving Bella an extra thorn in her side, but either without a reason, or a reason that makes sense.

Congratulations on a beautiful, beautiful job!

Question-Can't remember if you've already specified this....there ain't gonna be no freaky, deaky baby, is there?!?! lol

Author's Response:

no freaky deaky, nor any freaky deaky baby ;).

I am in awe of your writing...just...wow.

I'm glad Bella stepped up. It seems that it was worth making that mistake (with Jacob) for her to finally realize the problem with her relationship with Edward that she wasn't even aware she had. It seems to put them now on an equal footing. They are working on being equals, which ironically was what she always wanted (even though she felt like she was the one without all the power, in actuality it was all her).

Author's Response:

Thank you so much. It was incredibly important to me to show Bella's realization and growth, while still allowing Edward to not only feel his pain, but be allowed to act out on it. The more those two bundled up their own reactions, the more things fell apart in their relationship.

I hope you continue to like Atlas, and thanks for reading!

You write a beautiful wedding!  It was perfect, and the promise of the honeymoon is delicious!!  Thanks for writing.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading! I put a lot of effort into the wedding, and I'm happy to see it paid off :)

Lovely, evocative writing.  I hadn't even considered the possible weight of that moment with Jacob and you have elucidated it with clarity here.

They do seem more like Antony and Cleopatra here than Romeo and Juliet.

I look forward to reading the further chapters.
