What what what?? Not getting married? I hope this little development gets clarified soon...I'm very curious!
I loved angry momma bear Esme...but I'm not so sure about Bella seeing Jake on her own. But I can see that if she does see him by herself, he can't say that Edward being there manipulated her at all.

That was an intense chapter. Very heavy, but a lot needed to be said. I feel as though they got out most of what needed to be said, and they seem to understand themselves and each other much better.

Aww, the conversation between Jasper and Bella was my favorite part of this chapter. Nicely done!

Poor Edward, having such a bleak view of his vampiric existence and his supposed lack of humanity. I hope Bella can continue to convince him that she loves him for who he is, not what he is.

I really liked the story Bella told Charlie about Port Angeles. It described the scenario without going into the supernatural. Also, I agree with Rosalie being very like Edward, and I'm glad that she thought to go get Bella.

I always had a problem with Edward just accepting Bella's, well, betrayal. She stupidly decided to kiss Jacob even though she knew it would hurt Edward, believing that Jacob would actually go down to his death if she didn't. I really like where you're going with this, and I can't wait to catch up on the chapters I've missed!

Just got done chapter 12 and YAY! ive always had what I thought may be called an unjust dislike for Renee but after her acceptance in BD I kinda got sidetracked in that dislike.. Im happy to say this chapter had brought back those feelings of dislike and a sort of victory over my past allowances :)

So...what was going to happen in Breaking Dawn (and beyond) if Edward had had his way and not shagged Bella until AFTER he changed her? A permanent hymen? And, for that matter, all those poor girls out there who were bit and turned when they were virgins? Yeesh. I'd say this plot device really doesn't work logically or well for the female vampire population as a whole, but only as a compromise for Bella and Edward in this story. And wasn't Alice a virgin until Jasper? Or are you AU'ing that? Otherwise that puts a HUGE crimp in their sexy times.
Well, it's your story and all but I'm sticking to my guns. The sex (actual intercourse) between human Bella and vampire Edward is hotter, darker, edgier, and more erotic than post-change. When Edward no longer needs to control himself with a breakable Bella, it's just a super strong pair who can keep going - there's no 'will he or won't he' edge. Done right post-change sex is still 'good' - hey, it's Edward fucking Cullen! lol - but it's just no where near as fun without the broody danger. And that's what makes me sad about the change in the honeymoon here *sigh*
Author's Response: Has it ever occurred to you this is a problem of Stephenie Meyer? If the body hardens during the change, if there is a hymen, it would harden as well. Until otherwise explained, logically within the biological facts given in the books, this is what would happen. It is a plothole I am fixing, not making AU. So plese take up your complaints with Meyer for not clarifying the situation.
As for the sex, if you noticed this is a T rated story, and will not include sex. I have never once promised or insinuated that there would be, and frankly the point of this story has never once been to be 'hot.' There are a multitude of stories available if that is what you are seeking, and as you said this is in fact my story. My purpose is to allow Edward and Bella to reach a point in their relationship in which they are balanced, and that will never occur if they were to have sex while she's still a human. As we know from Breaking Dawn, he was terrified of hurting her, and it ruined things. I am of the belief Edward has waited an astonishingly long time to have sex, and he deserves to be able to enjoy it without fear. If that continues to bother you, I suggest you don't bother with the few remaining chapters of Atlas, because they will not be to your liking.

Love It. Every single chapter is a jewel.
Amazing how much insight you gave into the battered feelings of the characters and how you took they into the healing road, not just ignoring their own issues and the big furry nagging problem they got . Everybody in their exact place!

Yay...they are happily married and now answer to the name of Mr. and Mrs. Cullen. Renee is bat-shit crazy and charlie was awesome when he put her in her place. I am glad that Bella was able to make up with Renee.

Charlie gave a great speech. I liked how you had him remembering all his moments that involved her...it was reallyy sweet. Was the person at the end Renee?

Great chapter. Loved the end w/ the hair care comments - I'd always wondered about that . . . and I'd never given any thought to the virginity issue, but that makes sense. "Hymens through history" - hah!

An almost perfect wedding!! It would have been perfect, were it not for the crazy bitch, but life isn't perfect, and B and E have Renee to remind them of that.
This was beautiful and tender and sweet, as well as full of fire and devotion. The perfect combination!

Oh no you di-in't! Way to get my slack ass out of the hangar to come out to play. Post a new chapter when I haven't even reviewed this masterpiece yet? I'll show you.
"At the emphasis on 'my' she attempted to squeeze my rear, though with her strength all she succeeded in doing was lightly patting it, but she giggled nonetheless when my hips jutted forward and my eye brow raised.
There was my Bella."
Damn skippy.
The normalcy of the pre-wedding party, jitters and all, Jasper and Alice and their manipulation of future and emotions...only you, JC, Katie.
The interpolation of Edward and his entourage between Sue and Charlie; sweetest thing. Love on the edges and waiting in the ashen dirge wings to take hold so that papa will not be alone.
I am slightly irate when you say things like, "I can't write humor." Bitch, please.
Even saddened that this is your first and possibly your swansong? As ever I am horrified at the timely ending of this tantalizing, truly inspirational tale. My new excuse for being a slack-assed reviewer will be that I just don't want to admit that it is ending.
Though I can feel it in the marrow of my bones. The end is nigh. One thing I hate about certain fics is that they just go one past the sell-by date. Applauding you in all your James Dean-ishness. Live fast, die young. Write beautifully, end on a highnote when you reach the pinnacle of Atlas. Mount Olympus. Athena, Apollo, Zeus; the gods on high watch with awe and fascination at the Herculean effort you have put into this stunner of a story.
It will remain one of my best remembrances. Girl, and you know that aside from Atlas and MML (I still hope for her lemon ;) ) I don't do no-sexin in fanfic. But, dayum, so much longing and such replenishing touches and sumptuous sexiness abounds that I just enjoy the lilting tuneful taut yet loosened web you weave.
Final words, this time: fruitful fields of hay swaying beneath the sundogs. Shifting sweet barley into my nose, gold glints off the stalks, Edward walks towards Bella. Alone. The tilled dark soil of the land swallows their earthen footsteps. Quick, quiet, wizened. A silent sweet turmoil of love that was scattered over the acres of the ages, and denial. Eons fled within the time of soles. Love shook down the universe. Broken, hardened, softened, pliant...culpable. Capable. Ownership. Of each and one another. Coiling, helix, entangled. Mortal, immortal. Human. Superhuman. What was. Was never enough. This. This thing. This life, this death, this love. Meeting in that sun that hazes over fronds of frilly meal in stuttering shades of rose and red and orange. Glow. Enrapture. Entwined. Encircled in purity, finally. For once. Just. Love. And the meadow.
(Um, kinda crying with intense emotions that all that is Atlas will leave me so soon)
Bless you,
Rie~

It seemed that the wedding became simply a means to an end, and that although Edward enjoyed the vows, he was so ready to move on afterwards. I hope he will lend more attention to the honeymoon (eyebrows waggling), afterall, he has waited a very long time! I did really appreciate the wave of affection that all the Cullens showed Bella. It signified how very ready they and she are to be part of the family.

I really got cuahgt up in this story, I've been reading it for acouple of days and well, I love it! The longer hapters are awesome and i love how you have truly delved into the charaters and how theymight actually feel instead of jsut giving in to each other, it made it seem stronger and a like a relationship that anyone would strive for. Can't wait to see what happens!! :D 10/10

Your portrayal of Renee just seems more in line with who she really is. She's flighty and seemingly against marriage at such a young age--of course she would not support it.

This chapter was amazing and incredibly romantic. I was in awe of the thought that went into the box containing the coins. It was so thoughtful.
The Fallout IS really good.
