Post less? Nnnooooooo..... Lol, I love this story, I think its amazing and so unique. In this Bella is the stronger one and its interesting to think how that will shape and turn when he gets better. Which I keep waiting for to happen, I know its going to take time but I still can't help myself. If you could just upload the rest of the story next time you update that would be great! Lol, sorry, I'm impaitent. I really do love this story though, so best of luck for your fnals and have an amazing vacation and oh, write lots and update as soon as you get back!

Author's Response:

"If you could just upload the rest of the story next time you update that would be great!"

If only I could just upload the whole story from my nonsensical brain and everyone understand it!

It's fine, I can relate to impatience.  Unfortunately, in this case, I can't give in to it, though (mine & readers alike).  I think it'll be worth it in the end, keep the suspense a'buildin!

I will write lots.. and.. I will hopefully get a couple of opportunities to update throughout the break.  Hopefully.  It'll all be all kinds of sporadic, though, so I can't even dream of handing out ETAs as I normally would.

Thanks for reviewing!

It was a cute chapter.  I'm sure on some level, Edward appreciated the pillow.

Good luck on your finals!  And enjoy your vacation...we should expect lots of posting when you get back then, haha!

Author's Response:

If for no other reason then to give him something to hide in, I think on some level he appreciated it, as well.

Bella might not realize that, but the blanket, the pillow, the dark, the corner.. it's all just to help him hide.  He's less exposed with a pillow to dig into, that's for sure!

Thanks for reviewing again!

Ah, I love this little filler, loved this chapter! Loved the pillow thing! Good luck with your finals and update when you have the time. Bye ;-)

This story is very interesting and different.  I am really enjoying it so far.  Was Edward experimented on and used as a specimen to see how different forms of torture affect vampires or something?  I am eagerly awaiting your next update to find out what happens next.

It may have been a filler, but it was nice to see Bella's growing affection for Edward and the Cullens gaining confidence in Bella, mostly thanks to Alice. I just can't get over how amazing this story is and it's so nice to read something so unique. The pillow was cute, even though it was more necessary for Bella than for Edward. It kinda showed how much she wanted to help him cause often when we care about someone we just want to find someway to feel like we are helping them and that was just one of the only ways she could think of. I'm totally excited for Edward's sponge bath, hehe! Great chapter....can't wait for the next one!

Author's Response:

Excited for a sponge bath, eh?  Shooccckkkinng :)

And I agree, there was purpose in the filler.  Which is why I even bothered with it.  It'd have been easy to throw a couple lines in depicting the passage of time, but I think Bella addressed some very real concerns of hers, I think the Cullens came to a bit more of an understanding, and we get to see Alice's support of both Bella and the vamp, her efforts to convince the family.. yeah yeah, I could go on.  In the end, while it's a filler, it had some of those boring necessities laced throughout it!

A filler chapter is better than no chapter.  How long is your vacation?  What about WIFI?  Snail mail?  Homing pigeons?    Pony Express?  Smoke signals?

I guess I'll just have to wait.

Author's Response:

Haha, I didn't mean to imply that I'd not update the entire time I was away; I just mean that they'll come sporadically over the next few weeks, ETAs won't be possible.. but when I get online I'll be happy to post chapters :)

Another terrific chapter!  Like others have said, the dynamic with Bella as the strong one is refreshing.  Looking forward to seeing this story continue to develop.

Good luck with finals, and enjoy your vacation!

Author's Response:

Thank you, x3 (the story, the finals & the vacation)... x4 -- add reviewing to that list!

Glad you're enjoying it!

I appreciate the pacing on this story. Having worked with abused and abandoned animals before, I understand that it takes a lot of time, love, and patience to earn their trust.

This was wonderful.  Edward is definitely able to hear what is going on, like Carlisle's discussion with Alice.  He was also able to read Alice's thoughts about Bella leaving to call Charlie, and I'm betting the consequences of Bella's phone ringing.

I think Edward is also disturbed that he can't read Bella's thoughts.  It makes him unable to trust her words (not that he trusts anyone else's thoughts, just it makes it harder for him).  Edward also knows they are lying to Charlie, so this increases his distrust.

I can only imagine what went through Edward's head when he was given the pillow.  He was expecting pain, but received kindness.  I think that is what has been confusing him for a couple days now.  I'm interested to know when they plan on giving him something else besides human blood to feed on.  The Cullen's don't drink human blood, and I know they don't view donated blood the same way, but when will they offer the alternative?

Author's Response:

My take on this is that, since Edward is operating on instinct in the moment, they think it'll be easier to get him to drink human blood than animal blood.

Whether that is true or not is yet to be determined, but I think that right now they just want him to drink any blood!

Your 'filler' is going over BEAUTIFULLY!! If what you wrote is just 'filler' then sweetheart, bring it on! I absolutely ADORE this story.  You write so well!  I feel like I'm there in the basement with her (I wish lol).  I know that you're busy, but PLEASE update soon.  I'm so addicted!

Hugs,

Kristi

Author's Response:

I'm VERY excited about the next chapter, and getting more excited the more I plan it out, so hopefully I'll be able to throw it out there before umm.. yanno.  I leave next Tuesday.

We'll see, thanks for reviewing!

I enjoyed the transition chapter.  There is so much I have questions about, and so much I look forward to happening regarding this vampire.  Please update as soon as you are capable.

OK, Carlisle needs to analyze that venom, now!  I'm running out of patience.  And, I love how Bella is a source of extreme comfort for him, how Jasper and Alice recognize it and are amazed and bewildered.

Looking forward to some bathing of Edward in the next chapter, woot!

Author's Response:

Don't run out of patience yet!  Edward still has quite a ways to go, it'd be a shame to be fresh out of patience already!

I love that despite Alice's lack of clarity on her visions, she just knows that Bella is going to be okay with her vampire.  Emmett provided some much appreciated comic relief.

I liked that this chapter shows Bella falling further and further from her old world and giving into her new world - which revolves around her vampire.  Even with her ominous thoughts, "I couldn’t help but wonder if he would be so innocent when he was better."

I'm so looking forward to the clean-up... i'm doing some research...

Author's Response:

Alice FTW.

She's golden.

And your research astounds me!  I have not yet looked into the things you are looking into for me.

I think I can't thank you enough at this point.  You're making the process so much more pleasant!

What a really, really interesting and intriguing story! Of course I want to find out what happens...is he some bizarre government experiment gone bad? Is he a vampire that resorted to self-mutilation? Hope not.

Bella appears to be drawn to him in a similar manner to Canon Edward; yep, I caught the 'Messward', and since he was missing from the Cullen family...

Looking forward to more!
