Great chapter. I'm sooo happy he is out of the basement and getting healthy.  Charlie thinking she was dating Emmett was funny, and so was both Emmett and Bella's jealousy! Can't wait for more.

It's very good for him that he's in a better environment, and it'll help bella as well.

NOW... it's way more likely that he can understand her than before, but we'll find out eventually.  I'd say the more he eats, the better his mental facilities will function.  That's just my thought, but like I said, we'll get into that!

Poor naked Edward. I wonder... Wouldn't Carlisle have recognized Edward by now? That is, if you're sticking to the original story but Edward never returned to Carlisle. Or would he simply be pretending not to know just in case Edward decides to leave again or something...

Heh, if I was sticking to the original story of Carlisle being Edwards sire, yes, he'd have recognized him.  However, there is NO indication that i'm doing this (it's a very safe bet that Carlisle did not change edward, in fact)..

Great chapter. It sounds like Edward is understanding what is going on around him better now.

Are Rosalie's maternal instincts kicking in or does she need him to want her more than Bella for the wrong reasons?

I love that Edward is getting better. I am excited for more communication with him and Bella, and the Cullens.

Another great chapter.  I love that Edward is getting healthier!  Don't put him back in the basement!  I want him to get better so he can talk to Bella.  I was so hoping that it would happen this chapter, but I guess with a feeding tube against his vocal cords, that would be kind of impossible.  Sigh.  Again, I loved it.  Can't wait for more.

Heh, I doubt he'll go back to hte basement, I can't think of why they'd do that -- unless he creeps down there in the middle of the night because he's afraid of the bedroom? Aww, that'd be so sad.  If they went to him the next morning and he was back downstairs! AHHH . ^^ that is my writing process.  I just get off the wall ideas and I'm like YES. MUST. INCORPORATE. THIS.

But now, I don't think he'll go backstairs until he's healthy.

I'm pretty sure it IS possible to talk with feeding tubes in place, but I'm not 100%.  It might be uncomfortable, but I think humans are able to speak with feeding tubes.  I mean -- babies are able to cry, so I don't see why the vocal tract would be messed up.

In a vampire, it'd make it even easier to talk with a feeding tube.  I think.  Neither here nor there, thanks for the review!

That was lovely.  I love your writing, I love that Edward is getting better, and I love how it's increasingly clear that he hears  thoughts/understands Bella, and calms in her presence. 

 

Though, the way she's beging to feel about him now-- the naked cuddling in bed is quite scandalous!  Just thought it was funny that she's cuddling in bed with a naked man after she just got a sex talk from Charlie.  Quite clever of you.

Ahaha, okay, seriously, I am a newer reader, and an- obviously- first time reviewer. I've read since about chapter 8, but it was on my friends account- She made me an account of my own and just never told me, so you're the first review EVAH, on this account.

Anyways, I nearly squealed this morning when I did my morning check and saw that this was updated. It resulted in me eating while trying to read and- when I ended at finding how he was moved to the bedroom, I knew I couldn't just stop. So;

I went to Forenics class, and instead of working on my investigation paper...read. SO, of course when I realized the paper was due and I hadnt done any of it- in expoistory writing I ended up working on it; only to find there was an essay due that I should have been working on in that class. Needless to say, I was behind in everything today, and let me just tell you, it was hella worth it.

Now MY theory on whats going on here is that Edward, poor sweet Edward, is an experiment of someone's. What I'm trying to decide at this point is if it's a human research project to prevent killer vampires from feasting on human blood- OR if it was a human research project to find immortality without actually needing to survive on blood. Because we all know there are people who just want to live forever and will do anything for that.

OF COURSE, it could be some vampy group and I just havent thought of a reason for it yet. ULTAMITLY my theory is humans though, and along with that theory is that Edward wasn't orignally a vampire when they found him. I believe they turned him. Why? Because it'd be nearly impossible- if not compeltely impossible, for humans to capture a vampire and insert drugs against his will.

I figure they could probably keep said vampire under their control, however, once they've broken him. Kind of like how they train elephants. They tie him to a tree when he's a baby, and he can't break free. When he's an adult, he doesn't even try, when tied to the tree, on the assumption he can't move from it anyways- due to his memories as a baby. Edward was broken as a human before- or maybe immediatly after- becoming a vampire and thus has an equal fear of humans that he would of a vampire.

Of course these are all my theories, and they are probably terribly and horribly off. It doesnt matter. Brokeward makes me want to hug him and love him, and I was soooooo happy reading Jasper's point of view and realized he was just as resolved in protecting Bella that she was in him. Good boy Edward.

I LOVE YOU, MICHELLEPHANTS (like how I threw that elephant theory in there? JUST FOR YOU.) And I think you should update, 'ey, ES, 'ey, PEE. (Or, you know ASAP. WHATEVER)

Wow @ first review Ever! So for reviews this long the way I respond is.. in the same order the review is written -- so hopefully this'll make sense.

I'm actually falling behind in all of my schoolwork as well, which might be a problem :) But we're on teh same boat! And I'm glad it was worth it.

It's a safe theory that he was an experiment, it makes perfect sense for the story (i.e. hospital bracelet, anyone? drugs in the system?)..  As for who done it, there are many many options, but your theories are good! check out the thread on the AU forum for more ideas on where he's been x)

If he wasn't originally a vampire -- how did they change him? Food for thought :) Not saying your theory is wrong or right, just wondering the mechanics of it!
