I have a feeling things might get weird with Rosalie... she's getting protective over him and doesn't even want Carlisle to go near him, so hows she going to deal with the obvious affection the beloved vamp has for Bella?

That was awesome. ^_^ Very adorable. I love that he's truly coming to trust her. Once again, I'll say that I want my own vampire to pet and feed. xD Well...maybe not that last part, but...you know.

very good, still really excited about this story. hoping Rosalie doesn't cause too much trouble (why would she when she has emmett? hoping it's just a maternal issue going on). Looking forward to more bella/her vampire interaction
Author's Response: Rosalie is in no way meant to be villianized here; I doubt she'll be a huge problem.
She's mostly sticking true to her canon counterpart, so we'll see how things play out :)

Aww, yes! Finally some real reaction that he trusts Bella. I mean it was mostly obvious before, but I love how he curled up in her lap wanting to be closer to her! So cute! I love this story and it is a little slow paced, but I think your attention and detail to the story and characters greatly makes up for it.
I am interested to see what Rose's newfound protection in Edward brings to the story. I hope it doesn't interfere with Bella/Edward's connection.

I couldn't help but smile when I read the part where Bella's vampire laid with her. That was so sweet! I wonder what's going on in his head and if he is conscious of his surroundings yet. I loved when his hand tightened over hers when she got up...and the end when he met her.

Yet again another awesome chapter, I *was* about to go do some work, but this took priority. Probably not the best stance in the eyes of my boss, but pssshhht. Your writing is so heartfelt and so believeable. Teeny tiny baby steps, but oh so exciting ones! You're heading in the direction and touched on some things that I had been thinking of, so yay! awww. good chapter. i recognize your excellent reasoning . . . but i'm still glad you put pants on the poor guy. i'm impressed with how smoothly the transition from feral to human is going. i still can't imagine how you'll ever morph the trembling, terrified vampire in the basement into . . . well . . . edward. i can't wait to see it, though!
Author's Response: I think the feeding helped a LOT.
It's different, I'd imagine, dealing with a vampire abuse case -- because he literally can be starved to the point of not comprehending ANYTHING but still be "alive".. so, IMO, once you get some food into him, it'll hopefully speak volumes.
I chaulk a lot of the progress made in this chapter and the last to him finally feeding :)

Fantastic job! Utterly wonderful.....he crawls over to her and lays in her lap! I can't wait until Bella can have a full sleep over with him and for when he finally speaks!

This was a great chapter, I read it when you posted but hadn't had a chance to review till now. I loved every bit of this chapter and I'm glad Edward is out of the basement, but like someone else said just because he's out doesn't mean we can't go back down there :) Toward the end, I just knew Edward was gonna say something but of course he didn't, which was brilliant on your part, keeping us guessing and all. Although I have a feeling that our broken vamp will be talking pretty soon...hopefully. Again keep up the amazing work and I can't wait for the next chapter!
