He saw Alice's vision and reacted! He nodded! He growled at the bath! He was filling out! His eyes are changing!
He talked!
Oh Michelle, I was just in tears when he talked! I was so excited by his progress. How he was responding to Alice, and then to Carlisle. How he allowed Bella to bathe him. How he responded to Bella by nodding. How he is becoming more trusting. And that was all wonderful, but then
He talked!
And I just burst into happy tears of joy! It was so perfect! We all wanted a version of "stay" and you gave it to us, in the most beautiful way possible. I've completely lost track of the days, is it Friday in VitB land? Will Bella be able to spend the night again soon? How on earth am I supposed to remain calm waiting for the next chapter now? You do realize I will be haunting your thread, asking if it is done yet, don't you? I don't know if I can last another 5 days without more Bed/Basement/Bathward!
Author's Response: I miss you on the thread! I do! People have been scarce lately, keeping the spam to a minimum, so I just talk to myself, much like bella :)
I'm going to say that I'm 97% confident it is Wednesday. I will pull out a calender shortly though, and correct myself if i'm wrong.
Hopefully bella can spend the night over the weekend :D

I just re-read this again as a refresher to prepare for the new chap. I love that Twilighted doesn't go all Nazi on the reviews. Your writing is so amazing. This chapter was even better the second time around.

The staredown with Alice where she figures out his ability.
The wrist grab and the failed attempt at expressing himself.
Bella's reaction to the possibility that the vamp had heard ALL of her thoughts.
The brief reemergence of Nakedward.
The tender moments in the tub.
His first words... Absolutely perfect and heartbreaking at the same time.
You did a great job with this one. Looking forward to what is to come.

He's getting better, stronger. Carlisle had much better results with positive thoughts. He wiped Bella's tears. Absolutely powerful chapter. Word of mouth is making your readership jump, rightfully so. Glad Bella kept her curfew. You are an amazing writer!

Finally. On some levels it is driving me crazy that I'm so into a story where not much has really happened. I mean 12 chapters for three words! BUT that's a compliment to you. I'm a little teary now.

I'm so happy he spoke!! I've been waiting for an update all week, constantly checking back so I was totally excited to see it tonight! Now of course, I start the process all over...
I can't wait to see what happens next, and if he'll start slowly speaking again. I hope Carlisle can remove the feeding tube soon, maybe they'll have to get him a sippy cup, LOL!
Anyway, just have to say how much I'm loving this story. It's keeping me addicted to my computer :)
Author's Response: Hehe, sorry for the wait x) Hopefully he'll start speaking, but we'll see!
Unfortunately, the reason for the feeding tube is to bypass his senses, so it's more complicated than giving him any type of cup. He's got some work to do if he wants to feed normally again.

Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! *Insert squeal here*
That was amazing.
I'm so so so so glad that Edward's finally able to communicate with Bella. At first I was thinking aaah will he won't he, and then he did and I smiled incredibly goofily and got given strange looks from everyone else in the room.
So, between speaking, nodding, walking, being bathed, and initiating contact with Bella's cheek to wipe away her tears, I think its safe to say that Bedward is well on his way to recovery.
Now that Alice seems to have worked out Edward's ability, I think it'll be much easier for them to deal with him as well as allow Edward to see that they truly do not mean him any harm.
This chapter was beautiful, and I can't wait for the next one.
Something tells me that it's going to be even better.

Yes, bedward is definitely getting there, he's still got a ways to go though.
And I agree - knowing his ability will help them get him to trust them, help them get him to cooperate, gah! It'll be helpful :)
I hope the next one is better, but this was one of those packed chapters, so we'll see!
