I love the pace that you've set with this story.  The methodical way that you are detailing his recovery,and the growing connection between the vamp and Bella is touching and believable (if I may be allowed to apply that term to a story about mythological creatures *lol*) I look forward to each chapter!

YaY!  He talked!  I was expecting only one word and I thought he would say "Bella", but he said a whole freakin' sentence!  Squeeee!, but also heartbreaking.  I don't think if I were in Bella's shoes that I would have been able to leave.  Screw curfew!

There was a lot of progress in this chapter, too.  So, take that haters that thought you were going too slowly.

I loved the back-and-forth between he and Alice.  You could tell there was some kind of silent communication going on between them.

Awesome, awesome.  Can't wait for more.

Oh my god!  I'm crying right along with Bella.  He talked.  And not only did he talk, he said the most wonderful line I could imagine.  "Don't leave me?"  Making it a question just lent it that much more power.  That was just beautiful.  Gorgeous.  Wrap my heart up in all sorts of love and happiness and tears and joy and grumpiness at Charlie.  Even Bella's immediate response - "I'll never leave you" - was perfect.  I could go on and on about this, but I'll gush further at the forums as I'm sure everyone is.

The bath was awesome.  I love how trusting and comfortable both of them were.  I am almost, almost, disappointed that there was no growling at bubbles, but it was far too intimate without being anywhere near sexually intimate for growling.  Shaking, yes.  I don't imagine he would have been willing to let anyone else wash him as he did Bella, especially getting him to lean back and rinse out his hair.  *sigh*  I really am enjoying these baby steps between them.

Oh, and let's not forget the nod!  He actually responded to her question!  He knew she was genuinely concerned about him and tried to make her feel better too.  Awe!  *Cue another set of sniffles and holding back of tears*

It's funny how concerned Carlisle is about his mind reading abilities initially and then as he thinks further into it, he realizes Emmett is right.  I love that no one responded to Emmett's opinion, but he's so much a little kid sometimes that he couldn't help but voice it again.  Hehe.

One more thing - The fact that Edward not only heard Carlisle's attempts to calm him down he responded to them by letting himself relax a wee bit with Carlisle in the room.  Huge steps there.  Well, maybe not huge, but bigger than where he had been at.

I can't wait to watch the relationship between Edward and Alice grow.  I've always loved how they interact with only their minds and all that good jazz.  It's fascinating and really allows them to relate to each other.

Anywho, off to play in the forums!

First, is I've mentioned, I'm SO GLAD that I didn't fail his first words! That'd have sucked, truly.

Lol @ bubble growls, it'll have to be an outtake.. although I think I'll have to post it after the story, people would lose respect for me/thevamp/thevampinthebasement if I posted it during the story, I think x)

And right, so not only is he able to form thoughts, but he's comprehending! yay!

LoL, I love emmett so hard, I hope that comes across, I don't wanna make him an idiot.

And yes, huge steps here! He let the thoughts calm him! another yay, it makes me all giddy that he's finalyly starting to heal.

And finally, I love the AxE relationship that SM set up in twilight. I LOVE it. So it's so nice that I got to play with that a little more :D

Great chapter.  He is getting better.  :)  I can almost feel how much Bella hates to leave him.  He must feel so relieved when she gets there.  Love it.
