OMG. When the vamp spoke those lovely three words, my heart just broke. I could see his desperate longing for Bella and the strength of the bond they developed. The bath was also a true connection as she realized that he could understand her with a simple nod. I love the pacing of their relationship. Bella talks all about her life each day and he just listens. How romantic! Alice's realization of his gift to read minds was an important clue to understanding the vampire. I wait for the day that the vampire no longer needs that tube and gets some real clothes. lol. I will miss Edward's silent behavior driven relationship when he gets well and begins talking though.

The Cullens are so pushed to the background in this story. It seems like their investigation into what happened will rely more on the knowledge that the vampire possesses than what they will find out. I look forward to the next step in this odyssey.

Not too many people mention the nod in the wake of the talking, but it was equally large! Because not only can he produce speech, he understands, too!

And yes, you're right -- there's only so much they can do having NOTHING to go off of.. they're trying, but until they get the vamp's story, they're sort of at an impasse.

This was great. I love the progress he's making. I nearly cried when he asked her not to leave. I can't wait for the next update.

I'm happy he's getting better, and he finally spoke. Poor Bella, she deserves more time with her Vampire. I cried when she had to leave him. Great story. keep up the good work. Can't wait for the next chapter.

I loved this chapter. It was so sweet and touching and beautiful. I can't believe he talked! I loved the way you wrote and described that moment. I was very close to tears.

I love the bath bit too. It was also really sweet (I need better adjectives). I like how close Bella and her vamp can get now and how much he trusts her.

I think it would be really funny if you revealed that the vamp wasn't Edward cause I think everyone's already assumed who it is. And if you reveal it isn't Edward, you'll get a hundred readers around the world all having the same reaction, possibly at the same time: WTF?! NOOOO!!

Oh oh, *touch wood*. I can't jinx it. The vamp has to be Edward. Hehe.

WOW! I was expecting him to maybe say just one word, so I'm super excited by a whole phrase. My heart was breaking for him and Bella at the end. I loved this chapter! I'm so happy that he's getting better, and that so far he hasn't been attracted by Bella's scent enough to try and feed on her, and that he's spoken to her now!

Those were the most perfect words that he could have spoken but they utterly destroyed me. ;-; DON'T LEAVE THE EDWARD!  Er, I mean, No Name. Right. Don't leave the vampire. There we go.

Really great chapter, so relieved he is finally getting better and really trusting Bella. I hope soon the others will too. :) Update soon, the suspense is killing me - I want to know what happens next!!!! ;)

I'm happy that the new vampire is getting better but sad because I really like this super maternal Bella.  I appreciated her urge to protect something so vigilantly.
