ohhh...i sigh...and he, edward, continues to talk :)
And hes starting to open up to Bella ... wow its so heartbreaking to hear his story but so heart warming at the same time that he trusts Bella enough to talk about his memories.
My suspicions about Alices visions are getting stronger :) yaaay but who knows, you always manage to surprise me!
I just assumed that Edward had already been a 'normal' vampire for some time before he was captured, but seems like he was human one day(albeit dying) then awoke the next day a caged vamp...thats gotta mess you up...and no wonder hes so confused and unsure of the Cullens....gaaah michelle...YOU BLOW ME AWAY!! seriously!!
Your writing is so captivating, you are truly truly talented lady...always manage to keep me guessing...with each answer i get...another question pops up :)
Im so excited about this story...

I kind of figured it was Edward when you called him basementward in an author's note. I truley love this story (it's my absolute favorite right now), however I'm reading on my iPhone, and it won't let me review, so if you don't get a review from me, know that I'm still reading and still loving it, I just haven't had the chance to get on my computer.

Wow, Edward's finally opening up...amazing story.
But I want to know more about his "prison"!

Yes, I had to believe that it was Edward because of Bella's instant devotion to "her vampire." So glad you stayed cannon there! Of course my obvious first thought on Alice's vision is that Bella will become a vampire also, and naturally Carlisle is thinking of the consequences, Rose is her typical jealous, self-centered self, Jasper is worried that his wife's best friend could die at the hands of this literal unknown, and Emmett and Esme are thrilled at the prospect of Bella becoming a family member, and bringing Edward into the fold as well, finally after all his suffering giving him hope, happiness, love, and family. But all of this is only speculation on my part! You are doing an amazing job on this story!
I love the fact that you aren't rushing the story out; you're making Bella suffer the separation by sending her to school, and giving Charlie some parental backbone! No self-respecting father would just let his daughter run around unchecked, with no rules. He is the Chief of Police for crying-out-loud! Even if she is hanging with the perfect family! And though I have lots of ideas running around in my head about who the horrible individuals behind Edward’s torture could be I’ll just hold out for your big reveal.
I’m enjoying every part of this story, I will admit I look daily for updates, but please don’t push yourself to quickly. As much as we all want to see where this is going I don’t believe any of us want you to feel pressured to but out any chapter that you are not completely satisfied with just for our pleasure. Thank you for sharing your AU with all of us!

Yeah, totally knew it was Edward. Looking forward to hearing his story though, sounds like it will be very interesting.
Curiosity is KILLING ME as to what the Cullens were debating so furiously and what has Carlisle so upset. I have a guess, but not saying it just yet. And still want to know what Rose's problem is (other than herself of course...she's never been one of my favorite characters :P ).

Another wonderful chapter. Their interactions are beautiful. Of course, your foreshadowing now has us wondering what dangers Alice has foreseen. Given your note, I guess "la tua cantante" doesn't come into play here? Perhaps a run-in with Edward's captors down the road? Bella's eventual turning? I know all will reveal itself eventually, but it's fun to guess. Thanks for updating!

I absolutely loved this chapter. I was crying when Edward started telling Bella his story. I literally jumped when he said "What-" HE TALKED!

Gah! Edward talk! Lots and lots of Edward talk! I LOVE YOU, MICHELLEPHANTS!! Hahaha... you can't imagine how thrilled it is to see this big step in the right direction, though I have a gloomy feel about what the Cullens were arguing before. Bella wouldn't like it, that's for sure, especially when Edward and her had come this far. For now though, I'm ecstatic. And we will get to finally hear Edward's story.
Cage?! Urgh. Horrible science experiment on vampires slash slaves come to mind. Whoever did this to him is sick.

But why would somebody change him, just to put him in a cage? Was he changed, then taken by a team of scientists or something? People - humans - who couldn't deal with how strong he was, freaked out, and were attempting to make some sort of super human? Oh, the possibilities :D
And I really love how Edward's talking now. I'm looking forwards to reading how the Cullens will react to Edward being out of his room!

WOW! Another epic-ly beautiful chapter! I love it that he stepped out onto the balcony by himself.... and the last line totally made my heart thudder in my chest... "I woke up in a cage."
EEK! I can't wait for the next chapter to see what he says next. And I'm sorry that this review kind of sucks, but I think my brain is fried from trying to work on dreaded papers all day. I'm sure you understand.

Author's Response: Umm.. I'm not sure how many chapters it'll be at this point. Damnit, I'll get back to you on that once I have a better idea. I have the story all outlined, but I don't have it broken down by chapter anymore, since I completely blow every chapter outline that I've made.
And.. it's unlikely to update faster. I actually consider my updates relatively timely, and I have a lot of RL stuff coming up (which I won't actually get into), but, the bottom line is, I really do try very hard to keep the updates this quick... ;)
