I'm ready for this story to really start, but I like it so far.
Author's Response: Sorry, it'll stay pretty slow.
It's a story about a vamp's recovery, from the beginning to the end, so I worry that it might continue at a slow pace.
Hope you stick with it -- I'm told the last few chapters have picked up some.

Oh, sigh, I just loved that last little bit. An almost smile from the non-communicative vamp! He must be starting to feel (omg almost said human!) more normal or what normal used to be before all the bad stuff happened. Still can't wait to hear the velvet voice. I saw 2 hints, one is that he still mind reads that's why he's anticipating their moves. Also, think Bella was almost bitten by someone (James, Laurent ??) six months ago. Another plot twist. This adds a new dimension.

I'm like yay!!! He's getting better and hopefully we'll get some answers soon. Don't really miss the basement. Never did like basements. Ther usually musty and seem to provide the right environment for creepy crawlies. Yuck. I can't wait for mystery vamp to speak.

I absolutely LOVE your story and can't wait to see how everything turns out! Keep up the amazing work!

I am with you in this. Much of scientific knowledge is gained through trial and error. Just hope Carlisle gets his science right so this poor vampire doesn't have to suffer anymore. A fix may also prevent Charlie from coming to casa Cullen to grab his daughter and take her home, which would probably not be good.

Synthetic inhibitor, hmmm, reminds me of a missing amino acid that cause difficulties in digesting certain food items depending on which amino acid is missing. So now we know the what. We hope first for a fix and then for the who and the why.

The description of this traumatized vampire reminded me a bit of the descriptions of concentration camp victims. Such severe trauma causes withdrawal and it can be very hard to reach around the numbness which protects the fragile psyche from further damage. Please don't agonize, you have good instincts. Just keep telling your story.

Wow, the poor thing. I am really really really wanting to know what is going on with him. I can't wait to see how you reveal what is going on. His suffering seemed so real that I found myself with tears in my eyes just like Bella. Again, writing is quite good and no typos to cause consternation.

I am wondering how this poor hungry vamp is resisting Bella's blood. I almost didn't want to stop to review because I want to find out what is going on with him. But, decided I would do the right thing and give you some feedback. Your writing is good, tight and flows well. Impressively, I haven't come across a single typo. I am a bit of a word geek and it messes with my brain when I see them. Will leave you now so I can satisfy my word lust!
Author's Response: Haha, luckily, that's one of the questions that will be answered in the posted chapters!
thanks so much for reviewing each chapter hon, i LOVE when people take the time to do that :)
Hopefully you enjoy what's posted so far (and surely you can find a typo or two eventually!)

Bella should just wear a sign that says danger magnet. But, boy, she really likes to put herself in the way of the runaway train, doesn't she. I am pretty sure it's probably a not a good idea to be a tasty human and try to hang out with a strange and starved vampire. What on earth happened to this poor vampire/Edward? Looking forward to the next chapter.

This was an excellent start. I love the vampire stories. Human Twi-folk are nice and all that, but vampirism adds that mythical, fantasy element that takes you away from the hum-drum. Since Edward's name hasn't been mentioned, I am guessing that maybe the mystery vamp is you know who. It also sounds as if conclusion-jumping Bella is about to land herself in some hot water or cold vampire hands as the case may be.
