Oh, I just love this story! It's really good. I want to read and read it, but well, guess I have to wait for more chapters! :)

I really wanna know what and who did this to Edward and why?! I hope Bella can help him continue to heal and figure all this out!

Great chapter! Can't wait until you update again! Thanks!!!

Author's Response:

Will find out soon!

A wonderful chapter. I am so loving this story, and i love the fact i honestly don't know where it's going to go next. Keep it up. Is it wrong of me to miss naked Edward... Just a little lol.

Wonderful chapter, and it was satisfyingly long, too!  I'm glad Edward had some interaction with Alice and Emmett -- I think him being around the rest of the family is what I'm most looking forward to right now.

It was great to get the backstory with James -- you fit him into the plot perfectly.

Wow, Bella reading Edward her favorite passages from WH?  To me, that seems tantamount to a declaration of serious, soul-matish love.  Well, unless her favorite passages have to do with dead rabbits, or something :).

Thanks so very much for updating!

Author's Response:

Glad you liked this one! Yes, interaction with other family members = good news :)

Glad you liked the backstory!

Reading her favorite passages just sort of fit naturally.. they were at the bookshelf, she saw the book, she opened it, yeah. But it was deep, for sure ;)

Thanks for reviewing

I love your attention to detail. Or maybe it's not detail, it's just obvious... like I would never have thought about whether Edward would recognize a computer or any kind of modern technology. I just assumed he would. I love how different your Edward is.

Also, the emo-game between Jasper and Bella? Fabulous!

I'm also glad to finally find out how Bella knew about the Cullens' vampirism. It wasn't important to the story but it definitely kept gnawing at my brain.

And I loved that Emmett and Alice were able to get in the room with Edward and Bella! Edward didn't stop growling but he was listening to what they had to say! Hopefully we get some more Edward/Cullens interaction as well. :) I can't wait to see how his relationships build up with them!

Author's Response:

I think I just put.. a LOT of thought into this fic. It's borderline riidiculous :) But it is what it is!

Glad you liked the emo game :) A little fun between the two of em, yanno :)

And it was gnawing at everyone, the backstory, so I figured I'd throw it in there ;)

So glad you enjoyed this one!

Love this chapter! I do miss shirt-less Edward a bit, but I love that he put his clothes on all by himself, and also that he has clothes now. I love it when he talks, I hold my breath each time. I loved the small kisses Bella gave him, and the Debussy music, I really love their music a lot, it's very soothing. Love this chapter! You have no idea how I've been longing for it each day! I hope you UD VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY soon!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! Best ever!

It's not exactly shirtlessward I miss, but I do miss pantlessward ;)

Seriously, this chapter made my day. Horrible weather outside, headache... you don't want to know. But I do love this story, and I'm jumping around in the room whenever you updated!

Poor Edward, live in captivity... I think I should have realized that he was captured that long before, but I didn't. It's so sad.

I liked the way bella got to know about vampires, it seems quite reasonable.

He's progressing, I'm so proud of him.  I want him to start become comfortable with the other Cullens, but that seems to be a very slow journey.  I love this story like woah.  Can't wait for the next update.  You always leave me satisified and yet craving more!

aww this was such a cute chapter... I'm starting to feel bad for Charlie... maybe he should get a fishing trip or something lol. I really like that we were making progress on the family/Edward relationship .. I mean he still growled but at least he accepted and listened to them in the room. Also in answer to your clothing query.. I like 'em. Edward is much to reserved and proper to go half naked for too long :P as much as some fans may wish it so haha.

I am really excited.. well I suppose morbidly curious to find out what has happened to him over the last 90 years. I wonder how old the organization is? I mean over 90 years .. we can assume that Edward was not the first "patient" and they must either be run by vampires or have vampire co-operation. Very interesting. I've been watching too much X-Files.. brain immediately jumped to government haha!

Author's Response:

Yeah, it's time for clothes :) Soon she needs to do something about charlie, definitely. Poor charlie.

Hehe, yes, we'll find out more about them!

Oh!  I was reading through the reviews and how everyone loved that Edward moved himself to spoon Bella after she moved away from him.  That turned me into a puddle of mush personally.  Anyway, I was wondering, did he move closer to her because he missed the closeness or was she dreaming and talking in her sleep (like canon Bella) and that prompted the move... hmm?  *ponders*

Author's Response:

Interesting question!

Bella *does* like to sleep talk, eh? x)

I really enjoy this story.  I like how you show love isn't just about the warm and fuzzies.  It's about wanting to be with someone and helping them through extremely tough trials and tribulations.  It's a constant struggle that you participate willingly in because you care so much about the other person.  Great work!

Reviewer: Master of the Boot (Signed) · Date: April 28, 2009 08:55 AM · On: The Weekend

This chapter had me in so many ways.  FIrst, it was lovely how Alice was able to get the guy some clothes that were comfortable.  At this point, getting him into an armani suit would be hell.  I also liked how Alice was able to uncover secrets about Edward's past using

Its fantastic how Edward is reacting to sights and especially smells in this.  I thought it was so delightful when he felt the need to start sniffing the books.  His new curiosity is a sure sign of healing.  And nice choice of books, Dracuala.  It makes sense that he would like that one, "Garlic doesn't hurt me, bitch!"  That's probably what he thinks when he reads it.

Bella's retelling of her encounter in the city was great.  It worked out perfectly with the family taking out James.

BUT GOOD LORD!  I'm dying to know where Edward came from!  I've go to know about these secret labs.  The suspense is giving me a heart attack.

Anyways,  I like Shirtward.

Fantastic long chapter! Was awesome to finally find out how Bella came to know about the vamps and also learn more about Edward's past. Great interactions between E & B too. Thanks for writing!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you're pleased with the bxc history. It's about time to get that out in the open ;)

Reviewer: karentwilighted (Signed) · Date: April 28, 2009 08:52 AM · On: The Weekend

Are you glad he's healing or not was always an easy question for me. I'm totally pro- happy healthy Edward. On the hand, shirtless or clothes is a bit more difficult. I'm glad he's getting better and taking steps to get dressed is a sign of healing. Then again, who doesn't want to see him shirtless?

Great chapter. He's coming out of his chapter and even hung on with both Alice and Emmett in the room. Poor guy - 90 years in captivity, I'd be terrified and untrusting as well. I'm not suprised he lost his memories; people in trmatic experiences can anyway. And his was the trauma of changing into  vamp with no one talking him though it, waking up in a cage and hearing people and who knows what horrors being performed for 90 years. It wouldn't really give him time to reflect on his human life so it would stay in his memory, now would it?

Author's Response:

Haha, clothes is a very tricky subject, no? x) We're all such damn pervs when it comes down to it!

Thanks so much for reviewing again hon!

Reviewer: Kyrene (Signed) · Date: April 28, 2009 08:50 AM · On: The Weekend

I'm glad for Bella he has clothes, granted I was happy with the pants...But the other, I know I would have been uncomfortable whether he was pretty or not. And a week! It really has been...That's crazy. So the vision is pretty much what I thought. Can't wait for the shock Alice will probably feel when it hits her how they get to that point.

So he didn't completely flip out with Alice and Emmett in the room, that's a good thing. We're getting somewhere. I loved his response to her computer although I felt like an idiot when it didn't hit me why he would be freaked out by it. I mean, duh.

I love the image of him curling around her though. This big vampire guy looking to the small, fragile, human for safety. Her warmth, how soft she is, how human...I'm sure it's also her comforting him but I think her physically comforts him too. The humanity. I totally just went on a rant. Didn't meant to. Keep Going!!

Author's Response:

Kyrene! So glad to see a review bb! I hear venenum is fucking awesome, so I'm planning on getting on that!

Yep, I tried to make it obvious.. I think most people understood, but some didn't, so I figured I'd spell it out this chap! :D

And yes! He didn't freak, woo! He was scared but he let them stay and yay, he's getting better!

I'm so glad you liked this one hon, thanks for reviewing :)

How wonderful that he is really opening up, I love that Alice and Emmett are really supportive of Bella, and Jasper in this story is just wonderful - Bella and his relationship is really great and funny. :D I wonder if there is something out in the woods since he keep looking there or if he remembers something...!?! :) I'm really looking forward to Edward meeting the whole family and doing so without being too scared, it seems as though Alice already is expecting that or so I hope... ;)

Author's Response:

good question, the outside world.. hmm.

I'm excited for him to get to the know the family too.. although he's already come in contact with each of them by now! :)

My bullet point review of the things I love:

* Hopeward looking at the books, touching the books, smelling the books

* Checkmate bookends

* Not accidentally dying in video games... will she be not accidentally dying later?

* Not regretting palm kisses b/c they're totes awesome;-)

* Love reading the story of why Bella knows about the Cullens.  Love the twist that James wanted to keep her for himself.

* I used to think her spooning him was pretty fantastic, but waking up to find yourself the inside of an Edward spoon - yum!  Even if you scare the crap out of him by moving too quickly.

* BACON

* Embracing the Twilight cliches.  Fuck the haters.

* Playing the emotion game w/ Jasper.  HILARIOUS!

*  Emmett loves Dracula.

* Alice speaking directly to Edward - amazing how much an impact that made

* "Goodnight... Bella"

*sighs*
