Awesome - thanks for the update. You made my morning. I've missed you! No real surprises - but I enjoy the ride more than the plot exposition most of the time. It was nice getting to know everyone and seeing Alice spill the beans and Edward get a little more comfortable.

Is this some kind of Weapon X kind of project?  Hm.  Poor little Edward.  Keep those chapters coming!

You have smooth transitions and believable pacing. Consistant characters and sincere emotions. Never a word wasted. And I love the way you weave elements of the origional story into this one. No, not surprised... Edward did say that whoever captured him were humans. Of course the next natural questions are what they did to him, why they did this to him, and what happened to Edward to end him up in the forest for the Cullens to find?

This chapter is sweet though - no cut finger, thank goodness, and Alice is really making good progress with Edward too! That's great to know - at least when Bella's not there to look after him, it'll be Alice, not Rosalie. I still can't stand her. I'm sorry - I really can't! I think I started disliking her when she voiced her displeasure of having Bella comforting Edward earlier in the story, as if she was claiming territory already. I mean, who did she think she was?

Anywho... this is another brilliant chapter, as always. I always love reading it. :)

Another great chapter.  I think you could write that Edward moved his pinky finger, and I would cry like a baby exclaiming "he moved his pinky finger, he moved his pinky finger."  That's how I felt when he wished Bella a happy birthday, and then even more so when he told her that he didn't want to miss her party.  Tears just flowed freely from my eyes.

I'm kinda surprised that Edward didn't pull away from Bella once he heard Alice's thought about her being in love with him.  But as I thought more about it, she is his only anchor right now.  He needs her too much.  It's so weird, but refreshing, seeing her as the superhero even though he is the vampire. 

So it was humans.  That's what I thought in the beginning.  A vampire is involved to some degree b/c someone changed Edward.  It's also interesting to me that it was humans that did all this to him, yet he feels the most comfortable with Bella.

It was so adorable that he came to her party! And he talks now. Great chapter.
