Lovely, as always! And actually, I'd thought it was already established they were humans who did it to Edward? Maybe I jumped ahead. Ha.
Author's Response: So.. he said he'd never met vamps, and about half the readers thought 'MUST BE WEREWOLVES' So I figured I'd spell it out, and they're still convinced it's werewolves.
So the people who caught on that it was humans when he said it wasn't vamps are all on the same page as me.. then there's this other group.. that's convinced it's werewolves and are not easily swayed! I'm trying to be explicit here, but heh... people are attached to their theories! :)

wow, this story is just, wow (justreadit's not so articulate sometimes) I feel the time you've spent going over how he's gotten used to Bella should be, over time, belaboring and boring...but its NOT, and that's a mark of a good writer, a well written story. Thank you!

Alice's mental slip about Bella being in love with her vamp, Emmett and his fist bump attempt, Bedroomward spreading his wings so he wouldn't miss the party, Bella's realization that she is in love with him.
Interested to see where you take this humans as captors thing: Scientists conducting experiments, using him as part of a freak show. Can't wait.

So I think I've already said this, but I'm guessing it was the Quileutes, and they captured him while they were in wolf form, and maybe used tools/instruments made from werewolf teeth, since those are the only thing that can really "hurt" a vampire, and did mean experiments on him, trying to find a way to "cure" vampirism, or something like that. That's my theory. :) Great story, can't wait for the real revelation!

FINALLY!!! I was getting very impatient waiting for an update and I was not dissapointed! This was a wonderful chapter! I was glad to see Edward making some progress with the gang. It was alos nice to see him spend some one on one with Alice. Oh, and I especially enjoyed the Emmett & Edward moment! Emmett totally played it cool. Edward seems to be okay with realizing Bella loves him, at least for the time being... The big Q is who did this and why??? Also, what does Aro want? Okay, AWSOME chapter --and I will be waiting for the next one!

Awwwwwww, he came to her party!!!! I love that he got to spend some time with Alice and realized she wouldn't hurt him. Emmett being Emmett was fantastic. lol. He's so harmless, really...hopefully soon, Edward will see that.
I am interested in why Edward was watching Carlisle so much while they were all together for Bella's party. There must have been something very interesting going on in Carlisle's head. I hope Edward learns soon to love them because if it's up to Bella and Esme, he'll be there for good. :)

Okay, I actually squeed out loud when I saw there was an update. Apparently I'm still 10 on the inside...either that, or this story is really just that fantastic. I'm hedging towards the latter, although my true inner age is up for debate. :)
I'm ecstatic Edward continues to come out of his shell. Were I Bella, I would also be completely head over heels for him. He fills my heart with happy and I just want to squish and squash him in a huge hug. Also, I love Emmett. His reaction was just so...him. Although the Buckeyes? Ehhh... we'll have to agree to disagree. *insert subliminal cheer for the Badgers here* (although since this is September I'm assuming you're referring to the football season, and the Badgers did royally screw up this year, so I really have nothing)
Humans, hmm? That's what I was leaning towards, although there was that small problem of them capturing him that you alluded to. I suppose I shall have to wait and see how you deal with that!
Wonderful as always. Can't wait for the next chapter, etc. etc. etc. You blow my mind and rock my world. I wish I was you and had your phenomenal writing skills. :)

Oh... I really wanna write a review... I try... but I'm simply out of words right now.
Can I just say: I really, really wanna have a birthday EXACTLY like this one (Especially if it was with that shirtless Robward we all saw in todays italian photos...*sigh*) !!! The way you've written it is just too beautiful and the moments between Bella and Edward are heartbreaking... you nearly had me crying - again! ;-)

I actually didnt really care what type of beings held Edward captive. I think I am more interested in finding out exactly who and why. I also just realized that I have been assuming that the people that changed Edward to a vamp were the same ones that have held him captive and tortured him, until I read this......."I didn’t understand how any human could’ve kept him for so long. And I didn’t know how they could capture a vampire.".....so was my assumption wrong or is Bella wrong?
This chapter was so awesome, Edward is making really great progress. I love it!! The interaction between Edward and Alice was cool, but the convo between Edward and Emmett was just hilarious....loved it!! Edward hugging Bella and whispering "Happy Birthday Bella"....awwwwww, that made me melt completely...so sweet and beautifully intimate, loved it too!!!

Bella is automatically assuming that he was changed prior to being captivated because humans are not capable of changing vampires. We'll see if she's right or wrong about that, but obviously, I can't say just yet!

Is he bonding to him (father/son) or just nervous because he knows Carlisle is leader or was Carlisle thinking about something that Edward was interested in? Which humans had him? I am so happy she has admitted to loving edward cant wait till she tells him and Im surprised and a little not surprised (if that makes sence, it dont I know) that it was humans. I have so many questions like; how they got him in the first place? Who changed edward into a vampire and left him alone? He said he never seen a vampire till he meet the cullen family. And the biggest questions of them all are why they did this to edward in the first place? and doesn that means some people know about vampires and want to start a war or something? And for that matter how did edward escape? im sorry im asking to many question lol.. Love, love, LOVE your story cant wait for next chapter and the answers to my questions.
