I loved this chapter!  The scene with the scars was very moving.  Thank you for taking us slowly through the tender healing.

Whilst it's always annoying as hell to see characters follow through on these kind of things in stories, they are plot devices that allow you to develop the story in the first place so it's understandable in that sense.

The reality of similar situations often has the same progression unfortunately, although Edward would have been the right sort of character to break the cycle.

I'll look forward to the "happily ever after" for Edward and Bella and the rest :)

This chapter is brilliant the cliffy is reallly good as well. The last moments that  b and e spent together were brilliant. i dont know whether his stepfather is actually going to meet him or going to meet bella or take bella to the gym with him. Cant wait for the update.

Omgosh. I seriously balled through this chapter. I knew he was coming back. Dang that man. I wish I could go with Edward. I would protect him. Haha yeah right. It was written so beautifully that I could actually feel the lose in Edward's eyes. How much he really loves Bella, so much he would gladly die for her and his family. Not many people would do that. He is one of a kind. I'm just amazed at this story. I've enjoyed reading this. Well I could sing your praises all day but I think you get my point. You rock.

Ahhhh!!!  It is a love/hate relaitionship with cliffhangers.  We hate when it  happens but it makes a story soooo good.  Damn that Mike Newton, Emmett needs to slap him around some more for taking stuff from a stranger and passing it along to Edward.  Even though Mike does not know Edward's whole story Emmett should still do it. Ooo...I hope Bella uses her instincts and sounds the alarm about Edward acting wierd before its too late.  I have a feeling this is going to be the hardest for him.

On a side note:  i love how you intergrated James' words. "You bought A SNACK"...I love it. Awesome writing and looking forward to the next chapter.

No, the chapter didn't move too slowly at all.  I like that you took the time the develop their relationship.  I also like you show us just how damaged Edward is with the scars on his back.  It's a really sweet moment when Bella is kissing his scars-- it says a lot about her love for Edward, his painful background, and how vulnerable he's making himself to her.  Even though technically, very little happened, there's so much there.
