wooo. So glad Edward got have a picture of his daddy.  I say if you can't send Edward to go after Mike send his big bro Emmett. I agree with you that Edward would never do that. LOL  Imagine the look on Mike's face if Emmett were to just walk up to him and stare him down. I think just a stare would send Mike crying into a corner.  Anyway, I am off to read the 25 chapter.

Thanks for not sparing or glossing-over the after effects of physical and emotional abuse. Everybody responds differently to it, of course ... but maybe your story will help those who have never encountered this nightmare to be a little more sympathetic and understanding toward those who have. It's not something you just "shake off," but can continue to impact and haunt you for years, and if you don't get the proper help and support, for a lifetime.

This story touched me deeply on many levels. It was tough to read the parts where Edward's mom retreated and allowed his abuse to continue, because that could have and would have been my family's world if I hadn't had strong support from my family and friends to grab my kids and run.

Your story was told with such compassion and sensitivity. I do believe it will have positive impacts on many lives in ways you would not have planned or imagined.
