Dogfight over Bella - funny concept! I like that Edward would have built himself a fortress inside his home to keep himself safe and the world out! Seems in keeping with his need to keep apart and away from too much interaction with the rest of humanity. And poor Bella, having to try to screw up her courage to come back to the "scene of the crime" and needing to do so to have a job -

I'm not surprised that Bella quit, but can't wait for them to get back in touch. I'm guessing she's going to be the rogue vamps' target for the night and Edward will rescue her...
It was great to listen to Edward's thoughts and learn more about why he is doing what he's doing and where he is...so distanced from his family. I expected something depressing...some conflict. But I love that instead of that, he needed to do something for others...something meaningful and purposeful. It shows the depth of his character.
So, though so far he's only seemed eccentric and intense, this chapter makes me love your Edward. He's good. I can't wait until he gets to Bella.

My dear, you are spot in on something that has bothered me. The Canon Edward is really too self centered, and so are his siblings. The have accepted Carlisle's diet, but not his love for humanity.
Your Edward is different and I adore him even more. Cannot wait for updates

Ok, this is by far the best chapter yet. I LOVE that she wore his shirt to wash the furniture and his reaction "WTF" and Jasper laughing at him is just too priceless. You had me laughing out loud - thank you! Now that he knows he's lusting for her I can't wait to see how he plans to keep her around.
