Yaaaaaay!!!
Another fantastic chapter! The Alice and Bella time was adorable and freaking awesome, and the Edward and Bella, just... awe!
Loved the return of the pinkie! It's so innocently intimate, but that's what I adore about the relationship you've got growing between them. It's so... livable...? Life-like? Real? So many words that don't quite encompass all of what you've got going on with this amazing tale you've woven.
Maybe I'm a stickler for an innocent, lovable romance with a side of Edward Cullen, and a dash of Jasper, but WOW! (hehe, no pun intended)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

That's awesome that you enjoyed the Alice and Bella time - and, of course, the Edward and Bella time.  I really am a sucker for the pinkie thing...and, well, it just belongs with them.  I love innocent romance.

I appreciate your comments!

I'm totally digging this story.  When I first saw the banner I thought it was a Jasper/Bella piece and I almost didnt give it a second though.  Glad I did.  I'm seriously dying to know what happened to Bella.  Probably as bad as Edward is.  Can't wait for the next update.  Thanks for hooking me in!

Author's Response:

You know, I never considered people thinking it was a Jasper/Bella story as I'm completely an Edward/Bella girl.  LOL I guess I'm oblivious...I'm so happy you decided to give it a shot!

Bella's story is coming up next.  I'll be interested in hearing what you think.  The EPOV is already up under "More of the Guys."

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

I just want to say that I read this entire story, what's posted thus far obviously, yesterday and I LOOOOOVEEE it!  I can't wait for another update and to read more.  I'm not in to the whole WoW, D&D world but it adds a fun playfulness to this story.

I also love how close Bella and Jasper are.  I always thought that they could be such great friends because personality wise in the books they always seem so on par but if both were human that would be even more so.

So, will Em and Rose ever meet?

Oh, and PS - Edward in glasses is delicious!!!

Author's Response:

Oh, thank you so much!  I'm excited that you picked up the story and are enjoying it so much :)  I'm definitely and adorkable gamer type, so the WoW et al comes naturally to me.  I'm glad it's adding to the story.

I agree that I always thought Bella and Jasper would make great friends, so when I was looking for a best friend for Bella, he seemed the perfect fit.

Yes, Em and Rose meet...in fact, since I'm so late in responding (grr, I still can't believe I somehow missed a whole page of reviews), they meet in the chapter that is currently in the queue (ch. 18, Helplessness and Hope).  The EPOV of that chapter is already up under "More of the Guys" if you care to read it.

P.S.  I totally agree.  Yum.

I wish I could fix Bella, so she could be with Edward like she needs to be!

Thanks for updating :)  I can't wait for more!

Author's Response:

I wish I could fix Bella too...but she's getting there.  Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

That was just wonderful. I feel her fear, her excitement, her longing (hell - it's my longing!). This chapter was brillant. I'm gonna buy my husband guitar lessons.

Author's Response:

*grins* I agree...it's definitely my longing too.  I am so happy you liked it so much!  Let me know how those guitar lessons turn out...

Thanks!

I absolutly LOVE this story!
I can not get enough of it! Please post as soon as you can... and I particually love how long the chapters are.

By the way, the realistic nature of the story makes it a great read. The way Bella and Edward are taking their relationship slow is exactly how it would happen in real life. I love it.
Keep it up! :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!  I appreciate all your comments, especially about the slow progression.  These two in particular have to take their time - I'm so happy you're enjoying that :)

Oh, thank you so much!  The guys should be fun :)  Still a chapter or two away, though, as Bella decides to talk...

oh. my. freaking. G0d. -- i absolutely L0VE this story!!! *giggles excitedly:] it captures you in such a real way. my only criticism is the "foul language" haha but thats a personal thing! i absolutely L0VE how they're taking it slow, how the little pinkie thing, the arm around the waist.. how they are so small, yet so significant. if only people today would find the sweet innocent joy in those things *sigh. anyways, keep writing pleeaaaseee:] it is unbelievably addicting;]

Author's Response:
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!  I definitely slip into the language of my gaming group when I'm writing this story...I can understand the dislike.  I actually am a middle school teacher, so I can control myself :P  But these characters don't often.
I'm really happy that you are enjoying it so much - your comments mean a lot to me!  I am looking forward to hearing what you think as we progress.  And I absolutely agree about taking the time to find that innocent joy.  There's nothing like it.

wow... you weren't kidding about it beinga  long chapter! But it was so good!

It's almost agonizing how slowly they're having to move with their feelings for each other. Having to be sure of things before moving the next steps.

Looking forward to more!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I'm glad you liked the longer chapter because I'm not sure if they'll be much shorter from here on out...

I know they are at times painful with their pace, but I hope you're enjoying it all the same :)  I appreciate you reading and reviewing.

Loved the date!  The comic book store was perfect!  Edward is too sweet and I appreciate how patient he is with Bella.  I am looking forward to seeing how there relationship continues to develop.

Author's Response:

The relationship between Bella and Edward is one that I've always loved, and I'm truly enjoying writing these two.  I'm thrilled that you're having so much fun with them too.  Edward thought a lot about that date ;)  Thanks so much!

LOVED IT

Once again, you never cease to amaze me with the awesomeness of your chapters!! Bella and Edward's relationship is truly beautiful in this story. I love how sweet and caring he is.

I noticed that Edward ordered lamb for supper...coincidence?? haha

I can't wait for more :)

Oh my damn!  What a chapter!  This update was chocked full of every wonderful thing possible.  First of all there was Bella and Alice friendship/bonding time, which is awesome.  I like the Alice that you have created in this little ditty, because even though she has flecks of the Alice from the books engrained in her make-up, she is also unique to your writing style.  Your Alice is bubbly, but not sickeningly so, like in a lot of fanfiction stories.  She is fiercely independent, while all the while being insecure like everyone else.  She is loyal, to a fault, but that makes her very humanistic, which I like.  I could totally see myself being best friends with your Alice, so I think she is the perfect girlfriend for Bella.  Guy friends are great, but everyone needs a solid girlfriend too.

The second great thing about this chapter, is the Edward/Bella date.  Edward Cullen is the most awesome boy ever, hands down, and that first date happens to be the most beautiful in the history of the world.  Seriously, mad props to you for writing that date.  He took her to the comic book store, gave her a heartfelt confession about being jealous, and then, then he played the guitar and sang for her.  It does not get any better than that.  You wrote the whole sequence very eloquently.  I am impressed.

I am very excited about the impending visits for the holiday.  I have a feeling that jealous Edward may make a reappearance, and you know how hot I think jealous Edward happens to be.  Take care and update soon, if you can.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I'm really happy you enjoyed it :)  I'm sorry I'm so late in responding...I don't know how I missed a page of reviews.

I really enjoy Alice, and I like writing her time with both Jasper and Bella.  I also love your comments on Alice.  I'm happy to hear that she comes across as realistic and likable.  I always liked her, but I feel like a lot of times she's sort of made into a cartoon version of herself, and I really wanted to avoid that.

I agree that Edward Cullen is the most awesome boy ever.  He is absolutely wonderful.  I am thrilled that you loved their first date!  He thought long and hard about it, and he really wanted to come up with something that would allow them both to be themselves while still allowing them to be "out" on a date.

The upcoming chapters should be a lot of fun :) Well, once we get past Bella's story...I'll be looking forward to your comments, as always!

That was so sweet. The whole chapter is just awesome. I feel like I know Bella so much better after this chapter. She has really already fallen hard for Edward, she just doesn't realize he has fallen just as hard. They are just too cute with one another. And how sweet is Edward that he is picking up on things that make her uncomfortable and tries his best to avoid those things. I really liked that he was honest with her even though I'm sure he was terrified that she would be upset with him for talking to Jasper. That was awesome how Bella realized that he needed her to reassure him. I think she may be a lot further along on the path to recoery than she realizes at this moment. If she is able to realize that Edward needed her in that situation that seems to me to be a big step.

Okay and the scars on her back that we learned about during the dressing room scene?? Oh my God what did that man do to her? I really can't wait til we get the story of her attack. That sounds sick doesn't it? Sorry but obviously it was awful if she has scars on her back left however many years later we are talking about her.  Can't wait to see Momma Hale's opinion of Edward and ooh when will Emmett and Rosalie meet up??? If Rosalie's coming in for the holiday are they going to be intro'd during Thanksgiving dinner??? Or maybe just at Jasper and Bella's, maybe??? I also really can't wait to see Jake's response to Edward being a part of Bella's life, well actually the reaction of all of 'her boys'. That should be an interesting chapter!

Great job, and by the way I loooovvvvve the long chapters, keep um coming!!!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!  We definitely got a better glimpse at Bella in this chapter - she's starting to open up a bit.  She's absolutely fallen hard for Edward, and she's on her way to recovery - there's still a long way to go for her though.

As far as Bella's story goes...I won't comment right now :)  I'm sooo late in answering this review because I apparently missed a page somehow - which means that Bella's story is actually up in EPOV under "More of the Guys" right now.  Bella's POV is in the queue, and it will be posted as the next chapter of JOotG.

Thanksgiving stuff is coming up very soon :)  And there are a lot of changes coming in friendships, so there's a lot more story left.

So happy you enjoyed it!

wow! that was great! i really love how you're carefully and skillfully navigating the plot here - with bella teetering between moving forward and holding back, and you write edward's reactions so well, too. you're keeping things moving at the perfect pace - not so slow as to get totally frustrating, but not so fast that it doesn't seem believable. you write with such great insight, as well as humour and excitement. i really loved this chapter! i hope things keep going like this, with slow but fairly steady progress for the two of them. also, i love alice in this story! and jasper. actually, i just love your story, period! :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!

I'm really glad you're enjoying their slow progression.  They may occasionally have their setbacks, but for the most part, these two will continue to find their way forward.  I'm glad you like them so much - and that you like Jasper and Alice too :)  I have so much fun writing all of them, and I really appreciate you reading and reviewing.

Happy to see Edward and Bella progressing, hoping things will be ok with them soon, looking forward to Thanksgiving at Mama Hales with the boys (and I am sure lots more Edward jealousy) :)

Author's Response:

I have to admit that I find Edward jealous kind of hot :)  But don't worry...there will be much fun at Thanksgiving, and there's a first coming up that will make Edward very happy.  Thanks so much!

Is it hot in herre???

How many more chapters of cockblocking can Bella take??  How many can I??

I love how in tune Edward is w/ Bella.  Hearing that little gasp and knowing that it was fear and that he had to back down.  You've written, quite possibly, the BEST EDWARD EVER.  He's got his flaws, but he's honest about those flaws uses those flaws to be a better person.  I just love him.

Perfect date.  Loved that she bought him his own dice.

I'm hoping that Rosalie ends up coming over tomorrow night too:-)

Although... isn't the next chapter where the angst kicks into full gear?  Or is the one after that??  hmmm... no matter what, I'm looking forward to it.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

*blush* I am so happy to hear you think he might be the best Edward ever...and yes, I love that he uses his flaws to try to become a better person.  He's overanalytical and sometimes overprotective, but he tries to channel that into good things - like noticing that Bella was scared.

*grins* Glad you liked the dice thing.

*whistles innocently* My lips are sealed on Rosalie right now...

And yes, next chapter == full-on angst.
