No apologies for the kiss are necessary!!! :o) Definitely an AFT moment for me!
The last two chapters were fantastic. Jake's letter was so sad, but at the same time, Bella's revelations stemming from that were great. It was important for her to finally face what had happened and realize the truth of their relationship. I was so glad that she sought out Edward and that they are finally moving in the right direction.
These chapters were worth the wait! Awesome job!
PS- Edward scaring off Mr. "Napolean-complex" Huntley was amazing!! lol

Talk about About FT!!!! I looove this kiss!! I don't care that it's emotional or if they have to work things out, I am just so glad that they finally have kissed. I am so excited because they have a chance to move forward from here, and not only that, but if they felt the pull to each other before, imagine what it's going to be like now, so hopefully they won't be able to stay away from each other!!

It's about time! I mean, I know Bella has things that she still needs to work through with Edward, but I think in order for her to get to the place where she could start working through them, she and Edward needed a kiss. Oh, and could we get an extra moment, of Edward's POV of this kiss? Please. Pretty please?

They are very good at mirroring the book. I think you are touching on some of the more poorly explained things in Twilight. You're explanations for their actions go so much deeper, and I love this story for that. You've captured the reasons why Edward feels the way he does. Your Bella has so much more strength, for which I am thankful. I hated how she just took him back in the books--get some self-esteem, girl! (I'd find myself yelling at the book quite frequently.) I'm happy on both accounts. It's good and angsty, and I thought their kiss was well done.

well, i suppose im in the middle between the two groups and see that they both have lots to learn about each other still...and are slowly but surely working on it. and people do crazy things when they are emotional, so i think it's just right. great chapters!

I'm glad I waited to read these two chapters together. You were right they really are meant to go together. So much of the turmoil and angst would have lost momentum if read separately. Excellent work.
I'm on th AFT team. Although I think Bella is being a little hard on Jacob, I can understand her fear of seeing him again right now.
I hope this is a new direction for Edward and Bella. I hope her trust in him continues to grow.
Looking forward to more!

I want them to be happy! She needs to listen to her mom and forgive him. I have an idea for his punishment. Since he hates ABBA, he has to sing ABBA's Take a Chance on Me (after convincing/bribing his brothers to be backup singers) to her in a public venue with a lot of people and/or werewolves.

it was really useful that you posted up a summary, because lord knows i was going to have to re-read it all. i may have to either way, the details of the car reinforced that most of the story has been forgotten. i remember loving it though.

You are my new favoritest favorite for posting back to back so swiftly! Excellent work on this chapter. There has to be a break from the angst for Bella. The respite is due. I am sure that your Bella won't be a doormat after one kiss! And...it serves my personal purposes: I hope Jacob flips and we get to see some vampire/werewolf carnage. SM wrote that just a little too "kumbaya" for my taste! Your Jacob truly deserves to be running on 3 legs!

Oxy, once again I bow down to you and your brillance. I absolutely loved both chapters!
I am actually on vacation right now in California and was out in the vast Californian wilderness when I received the message that both chapters were up. When I got back to civilization, I found the nearest computer so I could read the updates. I have to tell you, I was anxious all day because I wanted to be able to read them sooner.
Anyway, I am actually not on either team, Bella or Edward, but instead on team Bella AND Edward, because I realize both are very multi-layered characters, which is credit to you, and with that means they both have a lot of faults and make a lot of mistakes so why would I choose sides? I might get annoyed with them from time to time but I know they need to both grow and that is a process.
I thought the kiss was awesome and the placement and timing was perfect. It took 34 chapters for goodness sakes so I think everyone should be happy we finally got out kiss!
Thanks Oxy for giving us this wonderful story and I know it will continue to be great!

lol 34 chapters to progress even to handholding. SM would be proud.
I think this is the only story without lemons or intent of lemons that I like... It's my favorite actually. :)
I hope you can find the time to do more frequent updates now--its going to be hard to have to wait a while after getting two chapters in a row! But Im glad you take the time to make them good. Your A/N's about keeping your fanfic writing secret from everyone always cracks me up--I have a hard enough time keeping my READING of them secret, so I cant imagine writing them on the DL. Honestly, tho, if I wrote this good I would want to show everyone.

Great story progression though. I am so glad Bella told someone her fears about Jacob! I think it's important for her to talk about it. Although it did very quickly turn into Edward talk ;-)
Either way, I'm happy that she let Edward in a little bit. They have a long way to go, but one step at a time will eventually get them there. Yay! AFT!!
Anyway, as you can tell, I really loved both chapters. I was SOOO excited when I saw the update, you have no idea! My top two favorite stories updated on the same day this week (both after month+ of no update), so whoo!! Thank you.

Bravo! Really well done. The dialogue and pacing in this chapter were phenomenal. I was surprised by the arrival of Jake's letter, but not by what it contained. He was only thinking about what he wanted like that day on the beach. That is what was playing in Bella's dreams--her knowledge that he will never let her go. I can see that now. Edward was good in realizing Bella needs her space since he royally messed up and let her come to him. I realize that they are far from being together, but the kiss was just great. I look forward to hearing more about it later.

I saw this story in the top 10 and was instantly hooked-I've been waiting two months for you to update and now...I'm going to nominate you for a Pulitzer...seriously!...the last two chapters, especially the whole conversation between Bella and Edward in 34 is so amazing. There are so many beautiful, "awe" inspiring lines. I'm sorry to be gushing but this story is just so beautiful and poignant and you have such raw amazing talent. Thanks for sharing that with us and updating. Can't wait to read more.
