OOOOO... I loved it! Very intense, dramtic! Awesome! Love the angst
Author's Response: I'm an angst girl myself. Glad you liked it!

You have no reason to be nervous, this chapter was brilliant. I've read so many incarnations of the scene where Edward leaves Bella that my mind is numb to them...until this one. You managed to take it and mold it perfectly to your versions of the characters. I actually teared up while reading it, which hasn't happened in a long time. I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter!
Author's Response: I actually teared up writing the stupid thing, a fact I refuse to admit to anyone away from this website. I'm still in the planning stages for the next chapter, so it won't be up for another week or so. So much angst, so little time.

Oxymonic8 hon, come out from underneath the table. It's ok, you did just fine in this chapter. Frankly, it was awesome. Edward's reaction made perfect sense, and I loved his speech. I can completely see why he would want to push Bella away. I can completely see why he would say all those horrible things to her. I also absolutely loved Bella's reaction to rejection. This Bella has a spine. This Bella is not going to let it break her. This Bella realizes that she has to do the right thing as painful as that will be. Way to go on showing character growth. Exceptional dialogue between the characters that was raw, emotional, intense, and well written. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to read what you have planned next.
Author's Response: There was SO MUCH dialogue in this chapter, which is part of the reason it took me so long to write it (I put so much more time into this chapter than I usually do). Thanks so much for your support, both here in the reviews and over in the forums! It keeps me going. Really.

W O W. That was impressive. I was sitting on the edge of my seat and the chapter just kept going, that was awesome! I'm glad you didn't feel the need to break that up, it was perfect. Edward was so cold, damn. My heart stopped when he told her that his attention was waning, and adding that it would get tiresome, I stopped breathing for a second - But Bella stood right back up and gave as good as she got, in my opinion. Doesn't matter that she broke down in the truck, only matters that she kept it together in front of him, even though my heart was breaking for her.
Author's Response: It was really important to me to keep Bella from falling apart in front of Edward; part of what I wanted to do with her in this story is keep her from being such a pushover. It's a relief that it's going over so well with people; I worry sometimes that people will see Bella as too ballsy, but I can't live with myself if I make her a meek little wallflower.

I actually loved this chapter. I didn't hate it at all, although, yeah, it was sad. You have such an awesome style of writing, and it feels like a movie scene. Or that's how it was in my head! I eagerly await the next, please keep up the amazing work! Cait
Author's Response: I do kind of see it like a movie in my head when I write; it's really the only way I can keep up continuity with their actions (there were so many "Edward moves here" "Bella moves there" bits that I had to keep straight in my head for this chapter, so visualizing it really helped). Glad you liked it!

i love this story. still my fave. please update soon.
Author's Response: It'll be several days before I update again...I have to recover from the emotional rut this chapter left me in.

Bah...don't defend your art. If someone doesn't like what you've written, that's their problem, not yours. Conflict is necessary in a good piece of literature...where there is no sacrifice, no conflict...there is no point. Why tell a story if everything is perfect? I like it, your imagery is beautiful. Write what you love...not what you think you should write to be loved. The people who can appreciate good writing will come back for more. My favorite line: ...lifting my face up into the steady downpour as if baptizing myself in crazed honesty.
Author's Response: I hate that bad reviews happen and occasionally they do get to me....not that that has deterred me in writing how I want to. I haven't changed anything to pander to my audience, and I appreciate people that understand not every fic has to be smut and rainbows to be entertaining (though, for the record, I have absolutely nothing against smut; just rainbows). Thanks for the review!

i thought it was excellent. and again i love how you pull bits of the original story into this new one. it's clever. the story of romeo and juliet is there, and it still is a powerful moment, and one that shows bella's love of the story, but yet it's in a different situation, both geographically and emotionally.

This is an insanely awesome story. Incredibly well-written, too. I feel like I just picked it out off a shelf at Barnes & Noble (because you've got 'published author' written all over this). You really have a gift for writing, and as I mentioned on this story's thread before, IVO is a gem in the world of fanfics. I cannot wait for what's to come in this story!
Author's Response: Thanks! I don't know about published author quality (the endless amount of typos kind of rebut that), but I appreciate the complement just the same.

Well, I finally finished catching up on this story and I must say that I'm loving it. I like the similarities with the books but also the subtle diferences that make things so interesting. Poor Bella really can't see herself clearly can she? Really looking forward to this conversation with B & E in the upcoming chapter.

Okay so I have been reading this since Thursday and this chapter just made it impossible for me NOT to review. So I came up with some random penname, that I just realize makes me seem I dunno... like a wimp. ANYWAY, this story in whole has been an incredible ride so far. I love the added depth you give to these characters. I love the fact that the first few chapters, I actually felt bad for Jacob and now... eh, not so much =P ALSO, this chapter made me literally laugh out loud. I love Bella in this story. I love Edward. I love Alice. Many stories I've read have way too much Edward, which takes away the mystery; or way too much Alice, which makes her a bit annoying. You write E and A into this just enough to leave me wanting more. So great job! I plan to finish the rest that's posted today.

The suspense in this story is incredible, without being overdone. I especially love the way you've described the relationships between B/E, J/B and Alice. Bella and Edward are perfectly in character, but almost with an added depth of character than found in Twilight. They're similar but entirely unique to your story. Your dialogue is superb and realistic and I truly respect your writing style. Thanks for such a great story and please keep writing. -Shanabella

Please update soon! I can't even begin to tell you how eager I am to read what happens next...ohhh...the confrontation juicy-ness! Update! Love It!

this is one of the best stoies I've run across. I'm enjoying it so much. I'm a travel agent, and when I'm not getting airline reservations I'm reading your story and my day passed by so quickly. Thanks!
