I think you may have just made my month with that... it was perfect, Oxy! Better than I could have imagined the whole "Edward confessing" scene. The confrontation in her bedroom: amazing; first day back at school: fantastic; confrontation in the park: perfection. You are very talented!

I realise my last review was actually attached to chapter one, not chapter 30, which was a complete mistake.

But this chapter was amazing, haha. Edward was so.... Edward. I adore your characters. They have such personality of their own, and (perhaps minus the werewolves and vampires) this fic is incredibly realistic. It's ah-mazing. Thanks for writing it

"But if you want me—and even if you don’t—I belong to you.”

Guh. My heart. It broke.

Ah, that was sooo good! And I'm getting crazy excited, because I know things are turning around now. Bella just needs to snap a little bit more out of her funk and then all will be lovely! Thanks for the amazingness :)

Glorious!  I love the angst, but I have to admit, the promise of happier times is pretty tantalizing.  Can't wait for Bella to actually, you know, have something good happen to her, and believe that it's happening so she can enjoy it for once. :)

I always have thought of Edward sneaking into Bella's room was slightly creepy and stalkerish.  And seriously how could she sleep knowing he was sitting around watching.... I can't stand for people to watch me sleep. It's unnerving.

I have followed this story from the beginning and I have to say...this chapter is one of my favorites. For once, Edward is being honest with Bella. I loved the dialog between them. I will definately be reading this again to make sure I didn't forget anything.

I am hoping the angst is coming to an end although without it, it wouldn't be the masterpiece it is...Thanks.

i think this is one of my favorite chapters so far. normally i hate it when no matter how vocal or adamant you are in your feelings, some one else just stands there and goes "no you're not" (i.e. Jake refusing to hear Bella every time she says she doesn't love him in Eclipse), but for some reason i didn't mind that here (maybe because it's Edward ;) ). i like that he was persistent enough to make her listen to what he had to say, if for know other reason than to make sure she had all the facts when she made her to decision to stay away from him or not. He still did not explicitly say that he loves her, but i think he knows that she's not ready to hear it and actually believe him.

you mentioned in your a/n that a lot of people think bella's being harsh and whiny with her treatment of alice and edward, but i think her reasoning makes sense. i think her insistence that the cullens are only using her for information on the wolves is due more to her fear of making herself emotionally vulnerable to edward again than anything. and yeah, the way she treats alice sucks, but again, it's more about guarding herself from edward than anything; she doesn't know that it's possible for alice to block her thoughts.

to wrap this up, i just wanted you to know that last chapter i honestly had no idea how you would be able to pull off a reconciliation between bella and edward without it seeming contrived. now, i still have no idea but i do see that it's possible. and i can't wait to see how edward slowly but surely manages to gain back her trust.

Ahh. Let Bella know she loves Edward....this is killing me! haha.

Wow! wonderful - can't wait for more.

Thank you

Thank YOU!

Edward finally spilled everything and that was the best confession I've ever read. NM should have been like this! I would go into details and everything, but I actually am very sleepy... so I'll keep it simple and say that was amazing. You are a beautiful writer. Thank you so much for giving us IVO.

Can't wait for the next chapter...

:] You win.

Wow, I wasn't going to review again until the end, but had to after this chapter.  I simply adore how real your story is.  It's almost like this is what I wanted Twilight to be instead of what it was, which is saying a lot since I love the books.  But there's something about the realism in your story that's just beautiful and heartbreaking.  This chapter was such an ode to a relationship that's falling apart; not because something is wrong, but because something isn't quite right.  And, god, so few people really get what that means, but you've painted it brilliantly here.

Urg!   When will she see reason, Edwards and TRUST Alice!!!  Thank you for this chapter and I await for more.

I love your story.  This chapter was very intense.  You really got to the basic conflict Edward has with Bella--beautifully done.

Angsty as hell, and every word had me completely enthralled and I couldn't stop reading!  :)

I know I have said it many times, but I ADORE this story! Seriously one of the best fics ever.

I LOVE that Bella is giving Edward a difficult time for once! I know when you love someone you often forgive them easily, but he put her through hell for months and watched her go through it all. Every day.

BTW one of my fav parts was when she called Charlie to make Edward leave her room! hahaha

Sorta new around here, so this was the first time I'd seen your story about, and I appear to be about halfway done.  It is way past my bedtime, and I don't care.  This story is so full of awesome... and I laughed my ass off at your Emmett... and I lovelovelove your Bella, who is easily embarrassed and a little misanthropic and thinks she's not in Edward's league, but praise heaven is NOT a doormat.  She's smart and funny and sarcastic and happy/unhappy, just like everyone else in the world, and it's great.  I'll totes leave you another review when I finish the rest of this story, which will be somewhere in the vicinity of 3 am.

“But then, I heard you, Bella.  I finally heard you.”  His eyes lost focus briefly as he dwelled in the recesses of his memory.  He repeated his sickening catchphrase, savoring the words as they tangled in his tongue, “You said you loved me—”

“I told you—”

“—three nights ago.  In your sleep.  You said it again.”  Edward breathed heavily, as if I’d siphoned the oxygen he didn’t need from his lungs.  “And I believe you.”

Comple and utter heart failure, right there.  You do angst so beautifully.  I wanted to reach in to the chapter and beat Bella and Edward both senseless.  Er...I don't mean that in a bad way.  I mean that this chapter got my heart thumping, made me mad, made me angry, made me so excited just to see what either of them would say next and cursing them for not getting it perfectly right.  Very, very few fics make me passionate.  That is one of the many reasons, but probably the main one, why I love this story so very much.

And yeah, I want Bella to get it, I really do, but I think what you've done is taken the mess SM made of Bella and refused to dance around it.  I mean, talking about canon Bella here - she was massively insecure and disconnected from everyone around her, including the mother that she was supposedly so close to.  How is it that she grew up in Phoenix and never made a single, solitary friend she liked well enough in all that time, no one to miss when she moved away? That alone screams red flag. The girl had issues, issues that could not be cured by building her life and self esteem around someone who both never took her feelings for him seriously enough and represented mortal danger to her.  It's why Bella never once consciously realized after Edward left in NM that he did it for her, that he could still possibly love her.  It's why she didn't even value herself enough to be angry at him for doing so.  She felt she wasn't worthy of him.  Having him come back and be the center of her universe again didn't cure any of that, it just covered it up, but IVO doesn't take the easy way around.  Bella's a mess and there's some things that she needs to realize for herself before she can ever have what she wants from Edward.  She can't accept his love if she can't believe in it, and she can't believe in it unless she learns to believe in herself.  I have faith that your Bella will come to do just that, and so I can be very patient.  (most of the time).

Brilliant and thank you.

Can you please remove yourself from the judging panel so this story can get the awards and accolades it deserves?!

I was bouncing in my seat this whole chapter, thanks to all the Edwardy goodness. His honesty and sensuality and awesomeness in this chapter is just about enough to make me forgive him for every dumb thing he's done (intentional or not).

Great chapter! I wonder how Edward will change Bella's mind.

Reviewer: sg360girl (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2009 08:18 PM · On: Relentless

God, I love this story.

Im thinking if Edward IS TRULY sorry and he finally seems to have accepted everything, he would probably say yes to turning her into a vampire? That would probably be the key to winning Bella's trust back, right?

Reviewer: adrenalinerush (Anonymous) · Date: January 13, 2009 08:11 PM · On: Relentless

I wasn’t lying; I couldn’t trust him…mostly because I was pretty sure I believed him. He might love me, but he also left me. And the leaving was all I could remember.

That brought tears to my eyes. I completely understand Bella's attitude towards Edward and, while I recognize your desire to make the story less angsty, I hope she doesn't let him off easy.

Reviewer: Tsumi (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2009 08:07 PM · On: Relentless

thank fucking god, about time edward grew some sensible balls! wonderful again, very angsty tho but we got hints of the good stuff with love declarations and kissy foreheads! i was going into withdrawal waiting for this, especially since the teasers on the forum came out so quickly :P you keep your readers on the edge of their seats m'dear, i can hardly wait for the next installment! hell to the yea!

Reviewer: starshinedown (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2009 07:53 PM · On: Relentless

Hellllooooooo angst.

Ok, so YES. Edward spilled his guts. I am glad about this. It needed to happen, and even though I sympathize with Bella squirming with the space invasion he had going on, the words needed to be said.

She'll need to some time to process. I HOPE TO GOD that she doesn't use said processing time twist his words and convince herself of bad things.

I hope for her mental state (and mine!) that there is some catalyst coming that gets Bella act; to have an epiphany and realize she can work with Edward to move forward or to up and run away from Forks or something. Just something.

Thanks for making me cry, Oxy!

OH MY FREAKING GOSH!!!!!

THAT WAS HOW IT SHOULDE"VE BEEN IN NEW MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn girl, you sure know how to write. If you ever write anything that gets published you SOOOOO have to let us here at Twilighted know, because you are, like, my new favorite author. No joke. That was THE BEST chapter I've ever read, HANDS DOWN! You had me at the edge of my seat the whole time, and it was like I was feeling everything that E/B were feeling all at the same time. Eyes watering, heart in my throat, hating my self and the world all at the same time, and completely helpless, yet maybe daring to hope.

Good God womman, you deserve the fricking Nobel Prize, or atleast the Nobel Prize for Fan Fic. (if there was such a thing, I would magically send it to you through internet teleportation... except then magical internet teleportation would have to exist too...)

Anyway, you TOTALLY rock!

MORE!!! (please? with like, a bagillion cherries on top, and whipped cream, and cupcakes, and brownies, and grande non-fat pepermint mochas with whipped cream and chocolate shavings....)
