Yea -- you updated! :)

Life is crazy but I was excited to read the latest. It's not often you read some good and real advice on the dangers of unprotected smexin. Consider your good deed done for the day! Love CG&SB -- they are awfully good together and it's nice to see that they still have the dedication for their schooling. Can't wait for more!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for this review and all of your great comments. I hope the info isn't too after school special!? I am trying hard not to make it a lecture, I never ever intended to even bring up safe sex, I swear, but you should hear the lecture Edward gave me.. *sigh*

As promised, here is your teaser:

My feet somehow carried me out of the dorm room and down the hall. I couldn't stop long enough to answer Alice's frantic questions as I ran, I just had to go and explain later.  I didn't want to get sick in our room bathroom, I wanted to maintain some level of privacy while I indulged myself in the unscheduled nervous breakdown.

The bathroom door flew open when my palm smacked against it. I found the nearest toilet and got straight to business.  I was sobbing, heaving my body towards the white porcelain bowl that most college kids seemed to worship for vastly different reasons than I was right now.  I heard the door open and close behind me, but once my stomach was empty, I just sat there. I let all of my previously held hopes and dreams out in the form of tears, for what felt like hours.

So good. So good.  Yikes, I'm really sorry that some of the beginning of the story made me uncomfortable.  It wasn't your writing, it was my prudishness.  But I'm getting better - who knew reading ff would open my 50 plus yr old mind to new temptations??

I know you work incredibly hard on so many stories, since I see your name everywhere, and I just want you to know how much it's appreciated.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for this review! Don't worry at all about the beginning making you uncomfortable - I am just so, so very grateful that you stuck with it and had faith in me.  Really and truly.  I happy dance every time someone makes it past chapter 10 hehe.

I love RESPONSIBLE Edward!!  He handled that so amazingly well, and smartly.  Afterall, Bella doesn't have much experience and is still pretty naive, so good for him for insisting!  Great chapter.

But something's bothering me from a few chapters back...do you really think Edward has the time or inclination  to watch Heroes???  Just saying...Maybe you're right; afterall, my husband loves SpongeBob.

Author's Response:

I am so glad that you love responsible Edward!  Would you believe the whole STD thing wasn't even in my outline??  YOu should hear the lecture Edward gave me in my head.. sigh.  Gotta love him, though.

Edward does have the time -- he makes the time for Heroes.  Now you made me giggle and I am totes going to work that into a future chapter, the explanation of how/why he does it ;)

THANK YOU so much for all of your great reviews!

Why would we kill you, that was a wonderful chapter!!  And the shellfish scene so awful/funny/ironic that you just know they'll be able to laugh about it for a very long time.  Sigh...you've created a perfect Edward.  I really feel sorry for Robert Pattinson, cause there's no way he's ever gonna be able to live up to millions of women's (and maybe as many men's) dreams of him, no matter how fuckably gorgeous he is.

Author's Response:

okay, this review totally made me giggle, what with the fuckably gorgeous hehe.

The shellfish thing.. oh, the stories we have to tell our grandkids, right?  I just couldn't give them a perfect first date, I am so mean.

Wow, awesome.  i'm having such a funny, confusing reaction, though, since she's having this experience with Jasper.  I didn't realize I was such an old stick-in-the-mud!  I like Jasper, of course, but I just can't seem to square with the story.  Plus the guys I was with in college were all just like Jacob, so maybe I'm just jealous.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review.  And you know what?  Thanks for sticking with it, even though you aren't particularly enjoying her with Jasper.  Don't worry, you're a few chapters away from her time with Edward. You're more than halfway there, in fact.  I appreciate your continued reading -- and I hope you fall in love with them once they spend more time together, E&B I mean.

So I read the whole thing this morning (instead of doing homework I've neglected all week...) and I must say that I've fallen in love with the story.  I was unsure at first, but the "New Bella" has grown on me.  The plot line is well done and everything feels believable.  I especially find the inner conflict between New Bella and Old Bella intriguing and understandable.  Great job with this so far - I'm so curious to see what happens next.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for the review! :) I am glad that you're enjoying the story so far and that New Bella has grown on you :)  I know the beginning can be a little rough, but I am so glad that you trusted me and kept reading.

Here is your teaser, as promised:

I climbed onto the bed just as naked as I had left it.  Edward and I sat facing each other, knees touching.  The first box he opened was the crème brulee.  I put my hands on his knees and ran them up his thighs as he looked into the disposable foil pot curiously.

His eyes flicked from the pot to mine and then back as my hands continued on their path.  When I reached his waist, I uncrossed my legs and climbed into his lap.  I adjusted myself and wrapped my legs around him, pulling myself a little closer.

“You're gonna share, right?” I raised an eyebrow.

Ah lame I know. It's nice to see Edward and Bella kinda beginning to get together.. That girl needs some smiles.

Yaaaayyy! They've met, and it wasn't stupid, tacky, cheesy, cliche' or any of the things that so many writers seem to love. This is brilliant!

Author's Response:

I am bouncing in my chair, so happy that you got through chapter 7 and are still enjoying!  It's not a smooth start for them, I personally find that a little too boring.
