I'm so glad you addressed the issue of Bella being able to push Jasper's emotion control away, I've always wondered about that, too!  While her shield is supposedly only on the mind, I always wondered if there were more to it. 

Bella's overreaction to the party was classic Bella, and Alice.  Alice trusts in her visions so much that she doesn't always take into account other things that could happen that can't be seen.  At least they still love each other! 

Sorry it took me so long to get to reading the chapter, busy RL.  I did enjoy it!

Thanks! It bugged me when I was reading BD that it was never brought up when they were talking about what she could block. Not only could she block the mental attacks, but she could also block Jasper's emothional one - not completely but at will. Oh, and it's also mentioned in BD that she blocks Kate's electric shock - that isn't mental or emothional either, its a physical one (through physical touch). So ,with this story, I have decided to expand more on Bella's power! (btw, that chapter is coming up next! Yay!)

Yes, I love Bella's overreaction to things! I think she's spent a little too much time around Edward! Usually hes the one with the major overreacting problem! Lol! And yes, Alice relys too much on her visions to actually take into account that they could change instantly - what happend in NM is a perfect example, both at the birthday party - which was mentioned in that chapter - and when Bella went cliff-diving.

Thank you! That's what this story is ultimately about, it's jsut taking a while to get there! When I started writting the first chapter, this story took on a life of its own, but it will become what I originally had planned for it!

Before they walked into the room, I was expecting more humans!  Do the wolves smell bad to the other vampires as well?  Are they all just ignoring it?  I'm curious as to how much Charlie has figured out already, or is he just forcing himself to ignore what his senses are telling him?

I thought Billy was funny.  I would have thought Sue would be uncomfortable as well, she was at the wedding.  Has she simply become used to B&E?  I guess she has spent quite a bit of time with them over the last year since she is with Charlie.

I'm curious as to how Charlie will react when he does figure things out.  After all, he would see some of them as murderers, and he is a cop!

I liked the chapter, and the surprise.  Renesmee's reaction was perfect!  She would be excited to see everyone.

Now to answer your questions as best I can without giving much of the story away:

These vampires have been around the wolves, or at least Jacob, Seth and Leah before, in Breaking Dawn when they all came to help witness against the Volturi. So, they are basically ignoring. Although notice that the vampires are standing against the walls, and the pack is by the couches towards the center of the room - they are kind of staying as far away as possible from eachother without making it too odvious. This is a happy celebration after all!

Charlie has been around them a lot, visiting with his grand daughter and his daughter. But they have been very careful to act as human as possible. But, occasionally they have slipped up, similar to how Edward slipped in front of Bella when she first came to Forks. Getting too comfortable with Charlie around and forgetting that he is human and doesn't know anything is really easy to do, so, he has noticed a little bit of their speed before they catch themselves - moving way to fast around the house - and also Edward talking to himself everyonce in a while - or at least thats what it seems like he's doing. Billy has also been telling Charlie some of  the little 'superstitions' that he used to tell Jacob, so Charlie's getting a little bit of both sides, and guessing like Bella did - but not guessing right at all.

Sue and Charlie have gotten really close over the past year - that will come out in later chapters - and with Seth, especially, hanging around with the Cullens all the time, she has gotten fairly used to the whole family.

That is pretty much all I can say right now, hopefully without saying too much, I hope that I have aswered your questions! If you have more, you can email me!

I completely envisioned the treaty changing the way you depicted it here, so of course, I loved it!  I like how you've kept them in canon, and the way you have shown J&R relationship. 

E&B were able to keep Bella's knowledge of vampires a secret until she went to Italy to rescue Edward.  Wouldn't they be able to keep the Volturi from realizing that Charlie knows just by keeping him away from them?  Or, are you planning on having the Volturi come and check up on the Cullens to see if they have kept the secret from other humans? 

I can't imagine any of the Cullens being willing to change Charlie.  Nor could I imagine Charlie and Sue wanting to be changed, especially Sue.  Imagine what Leah's reaction would be!  I'm curious how you are going to develop this story, and how you will keep their knowledge a secret.

Thank you so much! That is exactly the way I pictured it in my head right after reading Breaking Dawn! It also fits in with the rest of the story (and needed to happen to make the story work)!

But I can say, in their defence, that: yes, they can keep the secret from the Volturi - they were going to with Renesmee - but you can't really help it when someone on the outside goes and blabs - like Irina did when she came back to talk and saw Renesmee from a distance without being properly introduced or sticking around to get answers.      - I hope that answers your first question, as far as the second one, you'll have to wait and see!
