I loved the part of the story about his grandfather's wooden box. It holds Edward's soul.

Thank you. The box came out of nowhere - originally it was just a box that was made by his grandfather.  But then I wondered what was inside, and his whole story came out.  I'm glad you  liked it.

This was a PHENOMENAL chapter.  The scene of Edward in the clearing as Bella realizes she can't leave him is heartbreakingly gorgeous.

Thank you very much.  I thought it called for some strong emotions.  I could visualise Edward, on his knees, dead heart broken, but still beautiful and still worthy of Bella's love.  That's what I wanted to convey.

Great as always - very few AU stories stay so true to the characters like this one does, even with George in the mix.  I like that - and I think it shows real talent that you're able to do so.

I must admit the last chapter seems out of sync with the rest of it, but no doubt your story arc will encompass this complication to a successful resolution - I don't believe for one minute, that we have heard the last from George and his extended family.  Putting the wedding back an additional two weeks seem to me (at least) to be an important issue leading to said complication and resolution.

Am enjoying the writing, enjoying the story line - keep going.... and update soon.

Thank you very much.  The last chapter denotes a change of pace for Edward and Bella - I realise it seems out of sync with the rest.  But the initial plan of meeting George had been dealt with, and although we haven't quite heard the last from him (but there's not much more), the story now moves on to how Bella and Edward deal with their upcoming wedding and relationship and how the past few weeks have effected them and their future together, their responses and reactions to things.  I'm working on the next chapter now - hopefully it'll be up soon.

Hello.  This story is amazing... and so sweet... I found it last night and I only stopped reading to go to bed and then again after I got up I read till I had to go to work...lol.  I love this story and I can't wait to read your meadow scene...  keep up the great work!

So... it's actually kind of funny. Just a few hours ago I had finished the first chapter and was writing a review to you explaining that I thought your writing was lovely but this wasn't really the type of storyline I like to read and that I wasn't going to continue with the rest of the story.

As I was writing the review something possessed me to read "just one more chapter." I don't know why I did because honestly this is definitely NOT a storyline I would ever continue with but something in your prose caught my attention. You are a very good writer (especially for this being your first fic) and it's been getting hard to find authors who are willing to take the time to tell a story the way it needs to be told.

As I was writing that first review, I was complimenting your skill and I think I just instinctively knew that you were going to be one of those rare writers and even though the story wasn't my flavor of ice cream I think I knew that your writing would be worth reading the story for.

And so I bit the bullet, deleted that review and read the second chapter... and I didn't stop. And I was right about you.

In AU-AH stories, I can let go of a lot of the canon ideas surrounding relationships, though I get so annoyed reading about Edward being with other women when the single most OOC attribute you can give him is to make him ever love anyone like he loves Bella. Simple AU is really tricky for me because I need to the characters to remain canon. I have attempted to read A LOT of AU stories and have discarded most of them almost like I did after reading the first chapter of yours, because the way these other stories are written it's like a 13 year old is attempting to get across these incredible adult notions (even though I know quite a few are... well, older then 13, lol).

Anyways you are incredible because somehow you took a storyline that completely defaced who Edward has claimed to be, and you made it believable and you kept it canon, which I truly applaud you for. Never once did I doubt the strength of Edward's emotions towards Bella or the pain that the situation had brought him. I never once wondered if is intentions were noble and how deeply this affected him.

Instead of taking the easy way out and switching POV's every few paragraphs (which drives me up the wall) you stuck with Bella and made every decision she made plausible and her motives sincere.

Even though the storyline is something I didn't think I would like to read, I took the journey with Bella and learned how to accept it as she did. And that right there says A LOT about your writing. You never rushed it. You never forced something that didn't feel natural. It was a journey and I think you did an excellent job capturing that.

Basically, great job. I'm glad I was wrong about that first review. This is your first fanfic and in terms of AU I think your standard in writing is pretty close to IVO, The List, or Seducing Ms. Swan (I hope that means something to you). Though it didn't deter me throughout the story much because I understand mistakes happen without an editor, I would suggest going back and fixing a few of the spelling errors (especially in regard to the character's names) from the first few chapters after you finish writing the story. They have all but disappeared in the later chapters.

Great job and I can't wait to see the finish to the story =)

I really don't know what to say.  I'm very flattered that you enjoyed my writing enough to keep going.  I realise that the idea of Edward having been with someone else, and having a son isn't everyone's cup of tea (or flavour of ice cream :) ] but I tried to keep it as "possible" as possible, and stay true to his character, while showing more dimension to him.  The next chapter is in the works.  Thanks again.

I've been avoiding this story becuase, well, I'm a jackass.  Wow, this story is beautiful, thoughtful, and really just lovely.  I can't believe it's almost over.  Sigh...

Thanks, I'm glad you stopped avoiding.  But I know what you mean, there are some stories where I've read the summary or the first chapter and decided it's not for me, then I keep seeing the updates and for some reason I give in and find I actually enjoy it very much.  I'm glad mine has been one of those for you.  Thanks for letting me know.

Simply put, this chapter was just beautiful. The way you handled Bella's injury and stay at the hospital was not overblown or overdone. Thank you for that. I especially loved B&E's interaction at the nursery in the hospital, and their subsequent conversations regarding having a baby. It was delicately wonderful. Again, thank you for that.

Now.....WHAT?!!! ONLY TWO CHAPTERS LEFT?Oh, my breaking heart. How do you feel about a sequel? Maybe it can explore a pregnancy and Bella's change? She WILL be changed right? Ugh, this suspense is going to kil me. I just can't imagine how you can tie it all in 2 chapters. AND you're including Edward's POV too? Your writing is masterful, and so if you decide to go that route, I am certain you will succeed in making the ending to this story every bit as divine as it's previous chapters have been. But really? It's ending already? Sigh...

I'm sorry. I just love this story too much. SELFISH! SELFISH! SELFISH! I have faith in you, dear. So please ignore my tantrum for more, more, more!

But again, I ask in hope...SEQUEL?

Your appreciation of this story, and comments are one of the things that has kept me going when I've hit a brick wall.  Thank you so very much.  I'm working on the next chapter now, but I'm afraid that the original plan is coming to an end.  Edward's epilogue will cover loose ends but I don't have plans for a sequel, not at this stage anyway.  Sorry.  But hang in there, we're not quite finished yet.  Thanks again.

I love this very very much. and its really sad that its coming to an end. I think it would be great if they had a baby in this. With all the talk of it, it just seems right. AMAZING JOB
