Hi, kfm! I remember reading the beginning of this story a while back, but I just recently found it again at the Review for Review board, and now I can finally get caught up with it.

I love the original premise of this story, and I especially adore your Edward. He's hard-edged, but there's just something really irresistible about him. (Your Alice absolutely cracks me up too.)

Can't wait for more!

I'm finaly geting aorund to your story from the Review for Review thread, it takes so long to get through them all.

 

I love your opening. three short two word sentences with the word shite followed by a one word sentence. The writing is as sterile as the environment Edward is experiencing.

 

Wow, this is one very jaded Edward, with a heart all the same (caring about Esme) I like him.

I love how you are introducing backstory here. It is so easy to make it a pile of very boring paragraphs to set up where the main character is now, but you've done it in such a way as to raise questions with the reader making me want to read on.

What did Edward’s dream mean? I think it was his mind's way of finally letting Tanya fucking go. About damn time.

- Why did Edward suddenly decide to kiss Bella out of nowhere? Caught up in the moment and wanting to satisfy curiousity. Aside from her being the only mind he can't hear - they share the same eclectic taste in music which I think really surprised him.

- Who the hell is “Ja-“? Dare I say Jacob? Ooohhhhh.

- What happened when Jasper drove Alice home? A lot of heavy breathing and heavy petting. ;)

- Why haven’t you added the Psycho MySpace site, yet? (myspace[dot]com/psycho_by_kfm) 'Cuase I'm not on myspace - duh. :p

- Why aren’t you reviewing this chapter right now? I am. Right now. See?

I like this chapter. You're still nailing the character interactions perfectly. I'm fascinated with how this shaping up and look foward to more.

I think you have captured the relationships between the characters beautifully. Their banter, their irritations and their connections to each other read very realistic. I also think that you've captured a true glimpse of what some (not all) teenagers are like. They sneak around, the smoke in their in the rooms, they swear and they have sex.

I'm a little surprised that Edward hasn't used his newfound gift a little more to his advantage with Tanya. I know he's listened in on her thoughts, but given his continued desire for her - it wouldn't be hard for him to use her thoughts as a way back in with her. However, I also recognize he's trying to let go and he certainly doesn't feel he can ever trust her again.

if it is really missing I'm sorry, but get over and re-write chap 10, because your plot is far too good to end up as an unfinished history.

So this is my two cents: I'm really a fan of alternative so I'm not all that jazzed about some of your playlist choices. But I really like some of them so it's half and half.

Also, Edward's gonna screw this up, right? He's gonna end up in there for longer and Bella's totally gonna fail AP Bio. Sorry, but I'm feeling really pessimistic right now.

Anyway, I'm emotionally invested in this now so CONGRATS! I'm waiting all anxious like.
