This is a great story!! I like that jacob is crazy and he freaks bella out...  I hope that doesn't change...because I never liked Jacob in the real books. BUt i am looking for some happiness for Edward and Bella....we will get any?? and I hope edward changes her soon!!

Author's Response:

I think it "might" be obvious that I'm not a big Jacob fan either, so I'm glad that you're liking that he's a little on the crazy side!  Well, a LOT on the crazy side.  Hey, it's Edward and Bella - eventually, somewhere, sometime, somehow...... they will always get some happiness.  Thanks for reviewing.

Well you have certainly made Jacob into a very different character. I like that he is little deranged. I just do not want him to hurt Bella or any of the Cullen's. Maybe he is suffereing from rabies. That would certain change his behaviour. Update soon.

Author's Response:

I like that you like that Jacob is a little deranged.  Rabies!!  I believe the word "rabid" does come up in a couple of chapters.  But actual rabies. . . .  Thank you for reviewing.

Just when Bella's finally showing some genuine improvement... schitzo-dog shows up. I'm guessing poor Billy only has a chapter or two of life left?

Author's Response:

HA!  Schitzo-Dog!  I LOVE it!!  Thank you fore reviewing!!

I've just realised that I haven't reviewed the last couple of chapters so am making up for it now! The only trouble is, I really don't know what to say other than I just love everything about it...!

I think this chapter might actually be my favourite so far, I've been waiting for the moment Bella finally breaks down and you certainly didn't disappoint. The writing in that scene was beautiful.

I'm excited that you are on the home stretch but at the same time, I wil certainly miss logging on every day looking specifically for your updates!

Author's Response:

You have MORE than made up for it with your fantastic review.  Thank you so much.  I'm so happy you enjoyed that chapter so much.  It was the meltdown that Bella HAD to have!  I'll be posting the next chapter soon - hope you enjoy it.  Thanks again for your review.

thank you for that. bella needs to heal and she needs to be changed. preferably soon. and try to take away some of her memories of that event when you do. it would kill edward if she was able to remember those for eternity.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much for reviewing.  Things might not end up as neatly as you'd like, but I trust that Edward will see Bella through this.

Poor Edward. I mean I know we all feel bad for Bella but Edward is trying to deal with the emotional and physical wreck left behind. Trying to explain not turning her because he loves her without hurting her more when she needs his support. Trying to stay positive when he must want to rage and scream over what happened. Just everything. Poor guy. They need a HEA.

Author's Response:

Thank you for noticing Edward too - I mean I know everyone notices Edward because how can we not!  But yeah, it's all on him now, having to watch the love of his life being so hurt and damaged and knowing that he can't just protect her like he wants to, because nothing he can do can truly fix this.  And then not being able to give her the one thing she wants most right now because he knows that it would only make things worse for her.  Yeah it's a tough time for Edward too.  Thank you so much for your lovely review.

I really think Edward is making the right choice in deciding not to change her now.  She needs to heal and make her choice then.  Right now she is too frightened.

I am curious about what the future brings for the infamous Jacob Black!  Sounds like he has yet some part to play...and I don't think it will be pretty!  He is outa control!  ha ha.

Lovely as always VampGirl, I am so exicted for the next chapter! !  Talk to you soon I hope!

Author's Response:

Yes I know Edward can be stubborn, but I think he's got it right this time, and not changing Bella yet is definitely what's best for her.  Yes - Jacob Black has taken the crazy train. . . .

Thanks for your great review - I'm glad you liked the chapter and I hope to talk to you soon too - Too bad we can't encourage anymore people onto the thread - I think we could get some pretty lively conversation going don't you think?  Not that it's not already interesting, but more opinions makes for more fun!!  You're a real star for participating over there - can't thank you enough.

Since ADSoT is so good...I think I must heed your recommendation and check out Certain Revelations...that'll be next on the list ;).

Was it just me or was this chapter longer??  Nothing wrong with that - I like long chapters...maybe I'm just sleep deprived (the lovely peole with the insurance company love to call and wake me up early in the morning).

Two things I absolutely loved about this chapter:

a)  The gerber daisies.  They make me happy....espcially when they come in the "crazy daisy" variety.

And since commenting on the flora probably doesn't constitute as a review,

b)  Emmet and his enthusiam.  Just when I want to say Alice is my favorite...

So, I lied (or I can't count...I did work at a bank, after all ;0).

c)  Bella is on the road to recovery, and atleast humoring Edward in "trying."  If Edward is happy I'm happy, and I like being happy ;).

Overall consensus:  excellent

Lot's of <3 'til next time!

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you're going to read Certain Revelations - it is fantastic. I also read Vicissitudes by the same author today, and it is AMAZING AND it's actually finished which is always a plus.  TwilightZoner is very good, so I hope you check out that story as well.  I don't think you'll be sorry.

I just checked my word count, and this is definitely not the longest chapter, but it's up there.  A little above middle of the road length.  Gerber daisies are such HAPPY flowers!  Emmett is a doll and it's easy to write him as being kind and loveable but also with compassion and inner strength - not just all brawn and no brains. I'm glad you're liking him.  I adore Alice, but I find her and Jasper harder to write for some reason, but this story just leaned towards Emmett a lot - just felt right.  Bella is recovering, but it's very slow and it's going to be a day by day thing. And Edward is realising that her emotional issues run deeper than he thought, so they both have some work to do together to get past all this - as much as possible.  I mean, who could ever get past everything - she just needs to be further along than where she is.  Hmm, not sure that made sense - I'm sleep deprived too!!

Anyway, very happy you liked this chapter.  Thank you so much for reviewing.

I honestly loved that chapter!  (I've loved all of your chapters though!)

It felt so good to see Bella open up and feel better about things.  She is getting better!

Awesome!

Author's Response:

Yes, she is getting better, but it's not over yet.  She's going to have good and bad days, but she's moving in the right direction now.  I'm so happy you liked the chapter.  Thanks for reviewing.

I'm so glad she's finally opening up with Edward. That's the best way she can heal...I hope he does eventually change her, though. She'll need him.

Fantastic story again. :)

Author's Response:

She's still got a ways to go, but Bella is moving forward now. But Edward is coming to realise more and more how deeply affected she is.  So he's right for not changing her yet - they have stuff they need to work through together first.  Thank you very much for reviewing.

Yay!  That was great to read - Bella starting to feel a little better.  Only after a terribly bad breakdown, but it was exactly what she needed before she could even think about starting to heal.  I'm more concerned that right now her motivating factor for trying isn't so that she can feel better but so that she can still be turned after she makes Edward feel like she has been trying.  That's a bit disappointing, but I guess I'm not really surprised.  And apparently Edward and family will take just about anything positive from Bella, and rightly so.

I'm excited she got to get the casts off, and you wrote a very realistic plan for how she's going to start walking again.  After so many breaks, to include her pelvis, it's obvious that she's going to need a ton of rehab.  She's just very lucky to live with seven very bored and helpful individuals that can learn everything and anything about physical therapy, yes?  I can't help but laugh at Emmett's energy and enthusiasm - it's such a wonderful contrast to the strong tendancy this fic has towards much darker themes.  Thank you for including him in there for that.

I can't wait to see how Bella is going to do with starting to walk and what's going to happen with the wolves.  There's a lot going on here!

Author's Response:

As always an awesome and interesting review.  Yes, things are never as simple as they seem are they?  Bella isn't magically healed now, she's still got a very long way to go, and she likely will never be fully over the emotional trauma.  And I think Edward is coming to realise this more and more.  But he's right - she has to try moving forward before they can even think about changing her.  She's going to have her ups and downs because that's just life, but she is moving in the right direction now.  And there is some lightness now amongst all the dark themes, and I'm glad you're enjoying that.  Emmett is a great character, so I'm happy to give him his dues.

Thanks again for your review - much appreciated.

That was a great chapter. I really needed a tissue after the BxE heart-to-heart conversation .. sniff. Btw, how many more chapters are left?

I'm almost certain there are 5 chapters remaining.  I'm so glad you felt some of that emotion - makes me happy.  Thank you very much for your review.

As much as it hurts Bella to have to wait, Edward is making the right call here.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much.  We all know how stubborn Edward can be, but this time he's got a point.  Bella will probably never be the girl she was before all this happened, but she can get better than this, and the better she is as a human, the happier she'll be as a vamp.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!  Thanks for your review.

"Yes, she really was trying." - er 'yes, she really was faking!'  Big fat faker - she just wants to be changed quicker.

Either way,  great chapter.  It's nice to see that being changed is enough incentive for her to get out of bed.

Author's Response:

AWWWW - cynical much??!!!  So glad you liked the chapter though.  Keep in mind, she's had some major injuries to get past, so bed hasn't just been because she's depressed.  But it's definitely a combination of the two - as she's physically healing, she's reaching a point where her emotional issues are just as great if not greater than her physical ones.  Poor Bella - but she does have Edward!

Wow -- you have to have some therapy experience.  Bella's breakdown and Edward's own agonizing explanation was fantastic and believable.  Great job.

Thank you for saying so, but I'm sure that anyone with actual therapy experience would probably point out some flaws.  But I do appreciate your review - thank you very much.

VG,

It's really great how Bella is becoming better now! I'm going to miss this when it ends, but I hope we'll still talk.

As for Midnight Desire... You know, it was actually the second story I ever read on Twilighted, back in the summer, and uh...I quit after chapter 2! Let's just say, it was too graphical for me...

But the story was part of the reason I got into writing, believe it or not, because she is an amazing writer!

Sorry again for the lateness in reviewing chapter 18! But I reviewed pretty quick in this one, so I kinda made up for it, I guess.

SW

Author's Response:

Hey SW - hey, no apologies necessary at all.  I'm always so happy when you take the time to review, so thank you for that.  As for Midnight Desire, that is perfectly understandable and I think you did the right thing.  But it's wonderful that the author inspired you to start writing. I'm going to tell her that - I think she'll be pleased!  Yes, Bella is moving forward, but she's not suddenly healed - she's going to have good days and bad days, but I'm glad you like seeing her progress.

Hey VG,

So sorry I haven't reviewed til now - school work is...well, school work. And I'm currently writing this in the dark, so I'm kinda slow .(I'm supposed to be in bed.)

Anyway, it was a great chapter with the eruption of emotions from Jacob, and how Edward and Jasper was analysing it all:)

Love it!

SW

Author's Response:

Hey SW - again, no apologies necessary.  I'm very happy you're got your priorities sorted - your school work should always come first. Thank you so much for reviewing for me given your tight schedule.  I really appreciate it - always.

Wow, great chapter.  It's really good to see Bella start moving forward.  I hope we get to see her and Edward experience some joy and happiness together before the story ends.

She's not magically cured, and she's still going to have some "moments", but she's trying very hard to move forward and I'm glad you're enjoying seeing that.  Thanks for reviewing.
