There's also a lot of family interaction in this one.[Quote]
That right there made me happy for the new chapter even before I started reading. I love me some family time.
[Quote]Bella kept her head down, not meeting anyone’s eyes, including mine. Even during classes, she used her hair as a shield. [Quote]
That breaks my heart. poor Bella
[Quote]I understood what she was going through all to well. When Bella originally found out what I was, she needed time to adjust as her father did now. [Quote]
I'm glad that you mentioned that, I think it's a really important parralel
[Quote]"I can’t believe it! It’s his scrapbook!" she said, with whispered enthusiasm. "Every picture of me and every announcement of anything I did at school, he insisted that Renee send him copies. Sometimes, she sent the originals. She even sent him some of my drawings from when I was in elementary school. He saved everything. My first night here, he brought it out to show me. He told me how proud he was of me and how glad he was that I was here." Her brown orbs glistened with tears. I wrapped my arms around her waist from behind and rested my head on her collar bone. She sighed and leaned back against me.[Quote]
Ok I'm a big sap but that made me tear up. That was the sweetest damn thing he could have done.
[Quote]Emmett was behaving almost as hyper Alice.[Quote]
Lol That's a scary image.
[Quote]She stood up and launched herself at me. I caught her and twirled her around in my arms. Her lips covered my face with small kisses. I couldn’t help but chuckle at making her so happy. "I love you…love you…love you…" she chanted repeatedly between her sweet little pecks. [Quote]
Cutest thing ever
[Quote]Bella stumbled backwards clutching her chest. Esme caught her. "A quarter of a million dollars? That’s…that’s…that’s…too much!"
"Bella," my mother said, as she fanned Bella using Emmett’s hat, "we have more than enough money. Remember that I told you that part of being in this family is being a bit spoiled?"
Closing her eyes and shaking her head, she said, "There’s no way I’m going to win this argument, is there?"[quote]
Loved her reaction it was so Bella. But I have to admit I didn't like that she backed down so easy. Money was never something she was comfortable with and I hated that the Cullens never respected that. It's a shame that is the same in your fic :( I always felt they should have been a little nicer about the money thing. It's clear she is not ok with the amounts of money they spend and have. And I can understand that. Growing up in a simialr style life as her moneywise. I wouldn't be comfortable with that either. But that's just my opioion but I respect the the fact that you feel differently.
[Quote]"Isabella Marie Swan. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" [Quote]
Cute ending even if I don't belive for one second that she will turn him down.
Great chapter, well written and in Character. Please don't take my slight critisism to heart I wasn't trying to be mean I hope it didn't come across that way. I love the story and I can't wait for more.
Author's Response: Hi Titch. I'm glad you liked so much of what I did. You rated me sort of low, which is okay, if that's how you feel.
The money thing. I wouldn't be comfortable with it either. My thought is that Edward can dazzle his way into pretty much anything. And it was his siblings that brought things up. He didn't want her to know for the very reason you sited--it makes her uncomfortable. But they are going to do what they are going to do, and Bella doesn't want to seem like an ingrate. She does appreciate it, but it still makes her uneasy. I feel Edward did a pretty good job of explaining how he and his family felt, though.
Thanks for all the quotes detailing what you like. It was a really nice review.
