Esme's logic isn't that tight. The baby gets Bella as a human mother for how many years before they change her? And how could they not change their daughter when she gets to be their age?

I have to laugh about Bella, Jasper, and Alice just happening to have a baby bottle in the fridge. Formula too I guess? Why in the world.....and in the home of a woman who has just lost a baby. It says Alice got it from the kitchen but I'll just assume she broke into another apartment and stole milk from another baby ;)

It's sad that she can't stay with Charlie. Wish the Cullens had flown in a bribed doctor to treat her for an "accident" that required the "abdominal surgery" she's healing from. Then she could make up some half true lie about Edward betraying her and her leaving him.

I am so happy to have found this story. I've always thought it probable that the family would stand against Rose and Bella and take the baby against her will. The only other story I've found that tried to tell this was a violent, vengeful one where the family murdered each other-horrible. In my mind I thought Bella would turn away from the family in her grief and turn toward Jake, at least temporarily, and eventually realize she needs her Edward too much to permanantly leave him. But Jake's gone here so I can't wait to see what you do. This is my Thanksgiving present to myself-to sit on my butt and read through as much of this as I can before I have to leave on vacation tomorrow.

Are you forgetting when Bella went to La Push in Eclipse when she was told they didn't need her at Newton's Outfitters? Edward came back from hunting early because Alice told him Bella's future disappeared. He was furious and woudn't speak to her for a long while when she came home after helping to address Angela's graduation announcements. You're forgiven... :) DJ

I loved this story. The first part of it was heartrending, and I shed quite a few tears over Bella and Edward's pain. You really have a gift for strorytelling. You promised a happy ending and you really delivered. I especially liked how Bella acted as a surrogate to give Rosalie the child she so desperately wanted. I also liked Seth becoming a part of their family. He was one of my favourite characters in the Twilight universe. Thank you for sharing this with us. I hope to read more of your work.

I know that you've written chapters well beyond this one, so it's a moot point that I make, but I'm disappointed it's not smuttier. You write great smut, like While the Doctor's Away... that rocks... so why isn't this one more like that? And re While the Doctor's Away, we really need more chapters... soon... please...

Author's Response: Thanks for your review... and thankyou for asking this question. I deliberately didn't make this story extremely smutty because i didn't want this story to be known as a smut piece. The main theme for this story is Angst, and i didn't want to take away from that by going into too much detail with the love scenes.
As for While the Doctors Away, i have had a long break from my writing, due to a personal tragedy, but i plan to try to get back into it again. Key word here being 'TRY'. If all goes to plan, you may see a new chapter of WTDA soon.

cried a river when jacob died on roses hand...... my god for the first chapters i was ready to claw my skin off.... sniff sniff.... although it has a very cute ending the idea of jj being SOOO talented didnt feel quite right... most of them have only 1 gift they dont have that many powers..... still coudnt get over from jacobs and nessies death... but overall a great story i enjoyed it a lot....peace!

No way did you f-up Edward. He was true to character. He never dwelled on bad actions of the past where B was concerned so I agree that he wouldn't be angry and all distraught.
Now the imprint thing I think would have pissed him off royally so hopefully I'll see furiousward next chapter.
