And by the way, this story is now in my faves!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I'm so glad you liked my version of the story. The original is one of my all time favorite stories and seemed to lend itself so easily to the Twilight characters. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas as well :-)

This is EXCELLENTLY done!! I am familiar with the original story, and I LOVE your version of it!!

Although I could never hope to own such a collection -- that would be a dream come true for any book addict such as myself -- I can certainly empathize with Bella's sadness at selling her beloved books. I really liked that you used books as Bella's treasure, for that's exactly what books are -- great treasures. And Jane Austen! Well, needless to say, I would be in tears myself...

Although all the characters you portray are human, they are recognizable as the ones we Twilight fans all know and love. Also, I think it was cute that you used the names of some of the actors who play them, for original characters of your own. That was a neat little touch!

Music lovers can also empathize with Edward's love for his piano, and the beautiful music he composes. I love classical music myself, especially for the piano, and have a sister who plays it. Books are my primary love, but I can certainly understand how Edward would feel about parting with that piano.

Now I have TWO stories about the power of love and giving to enjoy at Christmastime! Thank you for making this special season that much merrier!! And a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to you!! =D

You did such a lovely job of retelling one of my all time favorite Christmas stories ( My other favorite if " Christmas day in the Morning" by Pearl S. Buck).  You were true to the nature of the O. Henry story and the Bella and Edward created by Stephenie Meyer.

This story is a job well done. Congratulations!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much. I haven't read that other Christmas story, I'll have to try to find it somewhere. It's always hard when you retell a classic story, to know if people will like it. I'm so glad you did. Thanks for the review!!

Oh I love this! Great job on taking the story and using things that work for Edward and Bella themselves (piano and books), and not doing the hair/pocket watch that most authors would have stuck with. I love that you did that, effectively making it your own story. :) Got a kick out of the siblings (names were funny lol), and loved that they're a close family.

Author's Response:

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. This was my first posting and I was a little concerned, lol. I didn't see the hair/pocketwatch working for them, I'm glad it works my way. As for the names of the siblings... one of the rules of the contest I was writing for was that the hosts of the podcast had to be included in the story somehow... so I made them the wives of the actors, lol. I won't find out til next week when they post the results how they liked that idea, lol. Cross your fingers for me :-)

Thanks again for reading and reviewing. Keep an eye out for my first multi-chapter story coming soon!
