I am in shock. Edward was so controlled all along that this is so outside of what he would do. The whole story is not the Edward you have created. Please tell me that this is one of Bella's last dreams.
Author's Response: That's sort of the point--she asked him to lose control for her; she asked him to give in to his instincts and bite her when he came. She wanted him to have that, and she wanted it for herself--part of her fascination with him being a vampire and everything that entails. It's not a dream of Bella's because that part is told from his POV. But notice, he doesn't find it easy; he does hesitate and question, at least momentarily. And, while Edward is controlled, he is clearly still fighting his urge to bite her, as the two times he fled from her when she licked his teeth show, and as the fact that he bites himself (or a pillow!) everything he comes. So, sorry if you didn't like my vision of it. It's just the way I saw them. Thanks for reviewing!

I had to wait a little while before writing this review as I felt so emotional after reading this. I have been following this story closely for quite a while now and it is one of my very favorites...so I feel somewhat emotionally invested in the story line. The conclusion of this last chapter had me nearly in tears and feeling quite haunted by Edward's emotional distress. Very compelling and excellently written. I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Wow, just, wow. What an amazingly hot and yet emotional chapter! You had me in tears at the end. It was so tender, so sweet. I could feel Edward's hesitance, reluctance and desire all at the same time. It was so good, and I am dying (as usual) for the next chapter.
One small (tiny) complaint/comment though...What happened to Edward's promise to Bella that she could "drink him up" before she was changed?
I loved the new additions to the list, and the whole scene with the leather Edward had me whimpering along with Bella.
I would give this chapter higher than a 10 if they let me!

SWEET HOLY HELL, that couldn't have been more perfect!!!
Everything tha Edward & his family did to make Bella's remaing human time memorable was well, perfect, truly. I really enjoyed Edward's time with Carlisle, Jazz & Emmett, I think it worked wonders to help take the edge off of things to come for Edward. Jazz & Carlisle were great, but what Emmett said was my favorite. The book that Bella made for Edward brought tears to my eyes & when Edward finally bit Bella I was in heaven, truly blissed-out!
Don't even get me started on Leatherward & Sundaeward ~ pantysplosion ~ 'nuff said.
Beyond beautifully written & smooth as Edward's velvet voice. Love you & this story...HARD!! MWAH, MWAH, MWAH!!

I left a post on the forum, and I was all set to leave a funny, little smart-ass comment about how hot this chapter was, but the ending has just thrown me over board.
We have waited so long for this moment, and these two have come such a long way from the beginning of the story. i can't help but cry when I think about it. Thank you so much for making this moment everything that it shoud be...sweet, and sad, and beautifully filled with love.

Yikes! I didn't think he was going to change her that way--I thought it would be more clinical, with Carlisle to supervise. The one good idea Meyer had in Breaking Dawn was administering his venom by injection rather than bite. More efficient.
I know he's got to stop, or you'll wind up writing a completely different story. Are you going to handle her transformation as part of this story, or something separate?
Still, death by vampire, being bitten while in the throes of mutual orgasm....kind of gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "a good death."
