Thank you for the update! So heartwrenching...

Reviewer: ladylish2 (Signed) · Date: February 08, 2009 04:53 AM · On: This Morning I am Born Again

Oh so sad :( - but I love it so much.  Take your time with updates - slow updates that are well done are always better than half arsed short ones.

One thing though:  "Romeo was a drunk, and Bella was a shrew. They hated each other." - Did you mean Juliet there, or was that deliberate?

Author's Response:

You found it!!  That was an unintentional Freudian slip on my part.  I just tapped it out, and even after proofing the chapter a few times, I still didn't catch it.  A few people over on ff.net had to point it out before I even noticed it was there.  I left it in as a subtle reminder to myself about how insidious the writing process can be.  Although Edward is so browbeaten at this point that it almost makes sense.  Poor guy.

I was so excited that you updated!  The way I read it - I thought Bella wanted Edward back - but at the end - it sounds as if - she is giving him  up?  Tell me no!  This must have a happy ending!  She loves him!  Tell me - please - that she will say she takes him back!  Please update soon!

I dunno about the hidden treasure, but I love your continued use of the slash over her heart and life lines as a metaphor. The fact that it happened the second Edward walked back into her life is brilliant. You are truly a talented writer.
Also, I can't let the comment about student teaching go unanswered...I find it insanely maddening and repulsive that the schools whose "report cards" are best get more funding. Obviously, the schools that get the lower grades on standardized testing (ugh) are the ones who actually *need* the funding. Ridiculous. Government. Blah.

You know, I read what you've written here and site here, staring at my wall, unsure as to what to say that could possibly convey my admiration for it all.

Your writing is exquisite. Lyrical. Poetic. And oh so wonderful.

What transpired in this chapter is exactly right in it's flow, process, and developement.

So beautifully touching and sad. It's a long drive home, and of course, it would provide the perfect backdrop more a moving and gorgeous love scene. And even though no kisses were shared and no desire was quenched, it was still a beautiful love scene.

If this at all foreshadows what is to come, then God help us. Our hearts will explode. INDEED!

Wow that was unexpected. I was thinking while I was reading this chapter that this story was nothing like what I expected it to be when I read the summary and started chapter one. But I really like what you've done with this story. The characters and plot are brilliant. I love your writing style and I'm so glad I decided to start and stick with this story.

Please update soon.

Bloody hell.

You're such an awesome writer it's unbelievable. Otherrs try to show Bella becoming this hardened tough girl but you make it believable. You show the pain that's still there and at the same time you show how she fights to live. And have I mentioned how aesome Dr Reyerson is?

Edward was such a complete and utter bastard. I love Alice and Jasper, and to do that to them is just... ugh. I think you dealt with Jake [Black] beautifully, and Jake the dog is so wonderful! I want a dog like Jake! He is now officially my dream dog! (Aside from my Rusty, but I know there'll never be another dog like him. Rest in peace, my beloved golden retriever) Emmett is so cool too. He's always seemed like the world's coolest big brother to me.

Anyway. Your writing is so beautiful. Your descriptions, they flow like poetry. As I said, beautiful. You describe Bella's womanhood as compared to her awkward girlishness so perfectly. I love how you dealt with her clumsiness. The sexual tension brimming between them has me yearning to yell some sense into them and push them together and into a bed. All this misunderstanding and self-doubt... sigh. I love how you describe your characters, both the canon and your original characters (like Bella's mentor and her dog).

This is such a cliffie! You simply cannot leave us hanging like this! I demand an update! XP Seriously though, you and your writing rock big time.

Ah--so good!  The car scene was just right.  I love her strength and her passion.  I love how they both realized their mistakes and doing so helped set them free (or at least freer).  I'm looking forward to the whole family reunion and whatever smackdown she might have in store there too.  I envision her apologizing to them all, but especially making Jasper feel that she doesn't and never blamed him.
