I LOVE Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies! That is one of my favorites  from their films. Also, "The Way You Look Tonight" is one of my all time favorite songs of all. I love the chapter titles. You must llike early and mid 20th century movies and music! It is the best. I used to be a radio anouncer and my show was all 1930's, 1940's, and some 1950's music. It was my favorite on-air gig!

I have not read the whole story as posted yet. I have skimmed the chpaters and I am going to sit down here very soon and go through every chapter very slowly and carefully.

This sounds like a beautiful story.  I cannot wait to read it. I just to comment on your chapter titles. They bring back so many memeories for me. My parents used to listen to Big Band and music like the titles you use here, in the 1960's when I was a tweenager. I am an old timer Twilight fan. :O)

If you want  a great song title for a soft romantic chapter, use, "The way you look tonight".' If you have not heard that song, go listen at youtube. It is one of the most romantic songs ever. The song was written especially for Fred Astaire  to sing, because though he was no crooner like Sinatra he had a plaintive and soft singing style that was os so nice....and  hit your heart  right where it got to you the most.

Also, as a matter of interestign trivia, the song, "One More For My Baby, And One More For The Road", was also written specifically for Fred Astaire to sing and dance in a movie. He sings it so differently than the famous rendition by Sinatra, but I like Fred Astaire's version MUCH better. You really should see the song and dance routine, if you have not already seen it. Try youtube, it may be there. Simply wonderful.

Thanks for a trip down memory lane and you make me want to go watch all the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies right now. I have them all and most all of Fred Astaire movies. I am missing just one, I think, it was a Masterpiece Theatre show that I cannot find anywhere online. Maybe someday I will find it and that will complete my Fred Astaire collection of movies. Ahhhhh one can dream!

Oh my gosh. Yes, I am an avid lover of all early to mid-century movies and music! Fred and Ginger movies are the best! My two favorites are Swing Time and Follow the Fleet. I'll watch almost any movie that's in black and white. Anytime I sit down to watch TV, I always go to Turner Classic Movies first. I was definitely born in the wrong generation. ;)  How cool that you had that radio show! I wish they still made beautiful music like they did back then. I think that's one of the reasons I'm drawn to indie music these days--the tendency to use a variety of instruments like strings and horns make me think of those days. Thanks so much for picking up my little story! I hope you enjoy it. Since I've been writing it for a while, I sometimes go back and cringe at some of it. lol

Seems to be shaping up nicely.  I can't wait to see what happens next, I must admit picturing Edward line dancing is a little hard, but i really like to see him OOC at times!

Whew!  Thanks for the reassurance :)  I'm glad it seems her life is coming together.  Wish mine would!  Wouldn't it be nice if we could write ourselves out of the daily crap we find ourselves caught up in?

Good!  Take your time :)  I hate when authors limit themselves with a chapter limit and then try and cram a bunch in at the end without taking the time to develop everything.  I think it cheapens everything else they've worked so hard on.  Looking forward to more!  :)

i know! there are a few stories i can think of that i really loved, but seemed to end very abruptly. i'm definitely reveling in this happy one for as long as i can without dragging it out too much. lol!
