I'll be damned! This is the first story where I actually like Jake. Even in the books he made me ill, but here I really LIKE him. I don't feel sorry for him. Its not pity. I LIKE him. That is a feat in itself!

Great job on the Story! I can't wait for the next chapter.

Wow--that's cool.  I wasn't necessarily going for a particularly sympathetic Jake.  I have just really been trying to imagine what he'd be thinking and feeling in this situation.  And, at this point in the books, Jake was still generally a good guy type character.  He hadn't yet started being the manipulative douche that he turned into later in the books.

Aww I love your Jake, I'm so glad they had their reunion! It almost brought tears to my eyes, but that's because I like a world where Bella and Jake can be friends, with none of that romance crap haha.

The Alice and Bella moment by the creek was absolutely beautiful.  Thank you so much for that.

Friendship, yes; romance, no.  Just to be clear!  Glad you liked Alice and Bella.  In the books they're emphasized as being like sisters, but then it seems mostly Alice is either dressing Bella or running interference for Edward.  I think they deserve some moments just of their own that build their separate relationship with one another.

I liked this chapter. Answered a lot of questions. I'm glad Charlie is going to be okay. I am anxious to see what Sam has to say. I would love to see Edward have to court Bella now that she is a vampire. He didn't really get to give himself over while she was human, you know, always kinda wanting to kill her and all. I hope she makes him work for it, not angry at him all the time, but hard to get.

Continue to love this story. You are doing an amazing job.

One other thing I forgot:  I always watch the side of my page to see how much more of the chapter I have left to read, and it bums me out royally when I realize it is almost over. Sigh. And I have to agree with madasabrush, don't forget "The List!!" I guess you've just created a bunch of Laura Cullen whores in all of us!!  (Not that that is a bad thing, mind you...)  Lovies to you and your works!! :)

I think we all watch that sidebar and think, no, no, it can't be over YET!  Not to worry, The List will not be forgotten.  I'm trying to get 1-2 chaps out for each story per week.  Which is doable right now because I'm still home sick.  Now, when I'm back to work in a week or two things will likely slow down.  RL can be a real bummer like that!  "Laura Cullen whores"--I love the sound of that!

Oh, now, I cannot refuse you a review when you beg like that!!  First, I have to admit, I'm purely an Edward/Bella girl, so I didn't really mind that Jake hadn't had his reunion...I like Jake, just not Jake with Bella...having read the JPOV section, however, I readily acknowledge that it needed to be written, so well done there.  Second, I am really grateful, though, that you allowed Bella to be angry with Edward; I always felt she needed her "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morrisette moment, and boy did you ever give it to us! And Edward!  I'm still feeling angsty over where this will all lead for Bella and Edward, but I do have faith that you'll make it all work out in the end...right?  Right?  And finally, I think you made a very true choice in empowering Bella; I always felt like her separation from Edward made her stronger, better, and more self-confident, even if it wasn't always evident to her in the book.  So, well done, as always, I'll keep the faith, and will faithfully review each of your most anxiously awaited chapters!  Mwah!

OK--you have me hooked on another of your stories (damn it!!)...I think the adjectives you used to describe their first kiss--all the mix of emotions they were feeling--was brilliant. Their dialogue is just so similar to what it would be in SM's world (except with nicely chosen additives, esp. the swearing! Yay!) Also well done was how you described Edward's being less gentle with her, her being more durable--magic.  New chapters, please?

Thanks for all of that specific feedback.  With the kind of passion SM described, I just always felt like their relationship would have been more physical (in all the good and bad ways) than she was able to portray it in a YM format.  I am working on the 8th chapter tonight (Weds) and will submit it later tonight or Thurs a.m.

Sigh. So lovely, that reunion!  Thank you for that.  Just one eensie, weensie question: it says Bella lands on her bare feet from the couch, but I thought Alice put flat ankle boots on her after the bath?  Call me anal, but I tend to obsess the details....loved it!

Hey there--you're the only one to catch that!  Yes, it says Alice picks out the ankle boots because she wants to avoid having to use Bella's hiking boots, but it never actually describes her putting them on.  In my mind, after Alice sorta hurt Bella with putting the jeans on after which Carlisle entered immediately, she didn't put the jeans on.  I much preferred the image of Bella awaking bare footed and flipping off the couch and landing bare footed.  So, you're right that there was a minor mistake there, but more by way of implication.  I love a careful reader!

Hey girlie, you did the suspense thing again--you kill me!!  Several things I really liked:

1. Jacob swearing--I think that is very much what he would really be like.  I envisioned that, and you did (like you always do!!) a very true to life characterization of Jake.

2. Rosalie's POV--that's novel for you and I like it. Esp. how you tied in dialogue (if I remember correctly) Edward's and Rosalie's conversation from SM's website.  Clever girl!

Ms. Laura, I have to admit I've been extremely wary of anything AU-related; I just haven't been able to go there.  However, since it is you, I was forced to go there, and am pleased with the results.  Very interesting premise, and I'm grateful you let us know up front that E would eventually appear--don't know if I could have stood the story without that teaser...nothing it complete without him! :)
